What. the. fuck.

What the hell did I just watch.

(Note: I do not advise watching this, especially not the rest of the parts. This is simply part one. If you do not watch it, I'm going to summarize what I DID watch throughout the rest of this post. If you do want to watch it, well you've been warned. The video itself warns you too!)

I remember earlier in the year when I was really, really loving the Koishi. That's pretty much how the name Dr. Mokoi came about, but there was one part of Koishi I was somewhat fond of but not used to in terms of characters I loved. Horror.

Or to be more specific, Koishi is sometimes portrayed as batshit insane. Not Flandre-style either, but a much more weird, eerie, and unpredictable kind of way. Whereas Flandre feels more like just a really naive little kid with way too much power on her hands, Koishi isn't even human sometimes. Okay yes, she's technically a youkai, but she doesn't have those same emotions and feelings a normal satori might have, like Satori herself. That's what the canon implies, but fanon shoves it up to eleven.

A particularly well-known example is some sort of video series of Koishi in a strangely drawn style, called "Koishi's Mad Adventures" (well, the actual name is something in German but I can't seem to remember it) I only watched the first two episodes or parts because the rest were well, unsubbed and when I watched the first two I was getting what I had heard. Koishi acting like a very unstable unhealthy being who if left to do whatever she pleased will cause bloodshed of some form at some point. I was under the impression the entire series followed Koishi because she appeared to be the protagonist, but today I watched the rest of the episodes and a majority of it did not have to do with Koishi...unfortunately.

In this Gensokyo, Koishi is not unique. At least half of all characters in Touhou are in somewhat rather mentally unstable. At first it dealt with Koishi, how she wished to go ice fishing on the Misty Lake, and tried to break and enter into the Scarlet Devil Mansion to borrow a fishing rod. Meiling was on-guard and tried to stop her (the few times they portray China actually guarding...dear god why) but then Koishi broke her neck because she wouldn't let her in. Flandre found Meiling and swore revenge. This is what happened in the first two episodes, and I naturally assumed there must've been some epic bloody showdown between the two. Flandre vs. Koishi are one of those things you'd love to see, like Utsuho vs. Mokou, or Komachi vs. Murasa. (Or at least one of those things I'D love ot see!)

So today I watched the rest in my curiosity since it was brought back up on an imageboard I lurk. I was actually surprised that Koishi ended up massacring Flandre. The rest of the series can easily be summed up in some sort of fusion between Higurashi and Elfen Lied, at least in the violence aspect. In my opinion, I think Koishi is either on-par with Flandre in terms of fighting one another, or Koishi is weaker. After all an ability where you can cause the destruction of anything is rather powerful, but who knows what manipulation of the subconscious can do for you? Apparently for Koishi it can cause tentacles to come out from her eye and jab people! (That makes no sense, so.)

Anyway since the rest was unsubbed I can only guess at what is happening. The fact that Meiling was given a gory discretion shot gave me the impression the series would not be that...well, gory, but then they cut off Flandre's hands and Koishi ripped off her wing after impaling her on her...sharp pointy tentacle things. I was rather surprised there. I was even MORE surprised after Satori came to take Koishi back, subsequently locking her up somewhere and sealing/chaining the doors shut, where Koishi spent a lot of her time clawing on the doors so much her nails completely ripped off...

At this point, if I had continued, I knew where this was going, but I did anyway. That is my curiosity unfortunately. Satori came back to SDM, to what I assume apologize and maybe take Koishi's place in punishment for the horrible things Koishi did, but I have NO CLUE what happened here...so I'll have to guess. Here, I believe Satori knew something about Koakuma the mansion did not, and tried to inform them as to be helpful in some way to make up for what Koishi had done. Koakuma apparently, too is a batshit insane abomination, and Satori decided to attack her with her own tentacle things to rid of her before it was too late. This obviously pissed off Patchouli, who did not believe her, but it was Remilia who ultimately stopped Satori and pretty much beat the shit out of her and kicked her out of the mansion to the shock of Utsuho and Orin who were standing outside by the gate at the time...

But Koakuma IS a crazy abdomination with two tongues, who proceeded to go scare the crap out of Flandre for some reason. (I have no clue why she was talking to Flandre but she was possibly she SCARIEST thing I've seen in these episodes...) Meanwhile, Utsuho is beyond pissed at what happened to her master, and proceeds to attack Patchouli outside of the mansion. Orin takes Satori with her to bring her back to Chireiden, but then she is suddenly beheaded by Star Sapphire with a chainsaw. (Keep in mind these events actually happened or were in between other events, the episodes themselves did not solely set upon one particularly plot or event, rather it just showed some parts that happened then switched to some other gory storyline) This is where Satori just snaps and goes batshit insane.

BEYOND SDM and Chireiden though, are other stories. A rather depressing one is of Sanae, who has captured Kogasa and is torturing her. (Do not ask me to describe to you what she was doing, it make me cringe BIG time) and apparently she had already did away with Suwako because her hat Pyonta among other things like heads and arms and limbs were impaled onto pikes inside some sort of dungeon in the shrine. Suddenly, Sanae is stabbed through the abdomen by Kogasa's umbrella, and we are brought into a flashback of Sanae's life before this.

Before Sanae was crazy insane, she was living in the real world, going to high school. She was born in a hospital to two parents, but she grew up very alone. I don't know exactly why. Perhaps she was outcast because she had strange powers, her hair was green, she appeared to talk to herself because no one could see her goddesses...multiple reasons! Anyway she was a severe victim of bullying, one of the saddest parts is after all the horrible pranks and hatred thrown at her by the other students, she hides in the bathroom talking to her goddesses who are visibly concerned for her. Just as Suwako hugs Sanae though, a bucket of water is poured onto Sanae's head and a bunch of students had surrounded the stall she was in, laughing that they had just soaked her, and both her goddesses disappeared because they couldn't be in the presence of people not Sanae. I found it simple but very powerful in terms of despair.

....then the very next video depicts her in a party with a bunch of boys who try to rape her, how cliche. Before they can though Kanako gets incredibly fed up and stops them by invading the house with snakes, unfortunately at this point, Sanae has already snapped. I'm again guessing here, but I think this is where Kanako and Suwako inform her that they were moving to Gensokyo, and taking her with her, so I think Sanae told them she had one more thing to do before she went. She proceeded to mass murder all the students who were at the party, and not simply shoot them or stab them, but rip them limb from limb, chop them into pieces in an incredibly bloody mess...

And we flash back to the present, with the umbrella through her torso, and it is revealed (I think) that Suwako, bloody and having survived Sanae's torment, was the one to kill her. She looks visibly upset from having to do it, but she had saved herself and Kogasa by doing so. Sanae was dead.

There are other batshit insane characters they occasionally cut to but never explain (or at least not yet) Mokou apparently exploded Keine's school, and as of the most recent (or second most recent, I forget) episode, half of Keine's face has been burnt off. Yeah....I went "OH MY FUCKING GOD KEINE!!!" at this point. Yuuka apparently amputated Medicine, and Tewi used her hammer to crush Reisen's knees and basically smash her legs in two. Hina was also torturing Nitori and someone else, but apparently Marisa and Alice saved Nitori. I think Hina is dead. I forget if there were any more.

THEN I saw Murasa. Do you know what I said when I saw her?  "OH GOD WHY ARE YOU IN THIS SERIES TOO!?" Now I want you to picture this part like in World War II, where Germans and many other folks were worshipping Hitler. Here we have a lot of obvious demons who look very evil/monstrous gathered around Murasa who is apparently making them all very excited. Everyone was chanting, and incredibly inappropriate music (KUNG FU FIGHTING!? REALLY!?) started playing. The curtains opened, and DOWN CAME THEIR SAVIOUR, BYAKUREN! I could almost HEAR them all chanting "HAIL BYAKUREN!" incredibly eeriely, and propaganda was everywhere! Do you know why? They then cut to Shou.

Shou I'm assuming, since again it's unsubbed, rebelled against Byakuren, or why else would she be a bloody mess with an arm cut off? She was extremely angry at Byakuren too, glaring at her. Nazrin was hiding behind a corner, very concerned for the state of her master, but I assumed she wasn't supposed to be found or else she too will be treated the same as Shou....but then Nue finds her. It appears Nue is working for the evil Byakuren too. We don't know the fate of Nazrin here, but I'm quickly assuming she's either greviously wounded or dead. It cuts to Murasa leading all the evil youkai into her MENACING SHIP, and then a huge UFO invasion surrounding the ship scatter through the sky and the UFOs start COMMITTING GENOCIDE ON HUMANS. (NUE FUCKING STABBED A LITTLE GIRL THROUGH THE HEAD WTFWTWTFTF)

Well, my favourite characters are complete monsters so far, and if they aren't, gruesomely wounded/dead.

There is one more part which continues with Star Sapphire and her chainsaw. I'm assuming the other two fairies are dead considering they showed a shot of them shocked at Star Sapphire, and then beheaded/bloody the next. She stopped mid-flight by Cirno, who attempts to fight her. It then flashes back to when Cirno was with Daiyousei, who too is batshit insane and tried to strangle Cirno to death. Luckily Cirno managed to smash her head in with the frozen frog she was holding, but again I am guessing here, Cirno proceeded to go insane and probably kill Daiyousei (she had a really weird long tongue o_O) and I THINK Cirno was still feeling rather guilty about it because she was caught off-guard (perhaps Star Sapphire reminded her of Daiyousei) and so Cirno got exploded.

But remember! Koishi is the protagonist, and we're not done with Koishi. She proceeds to break out of her prison by using her weird tentacle sharp things that come from her eye, and surprise, surprise, Yukari was guarding her door the entire time. Koishi tries to attack Yukari, but she cuts Koishi's arm off. She tries again, she cuts the rest of her limbs off. Yukari is then not amused and proceeds to behead Koishi much to my utter shock. I thought at this point she was dead "Wait, why is Koishi dead? Isn't she the main character!?" but then out of nowhere Reisen II shows up with a big fucking rifle. She shoots at Yukari which results in a giant HOLE in her torso, where you can see intestines and other bodily innards, but Yukari actually is acting rather badass and shrugs it off. When Reisen II tries to close in for a melee attack, Yukari cuts her body in half---or so we think. For some reason Reisen II appears unscathed BEHIND Yukari and...

This was probably the most gruesome part of the entire series...oh dear god I feel for the Yakumo family here. I can't describe it well, but Ran shows up. When she first appeared in the series I had no idea what was going on but she and Chen looked perfectly normal, though their expressions were not one of peace or happiness. Here, she is naked and her stomach is bloated in such a way that she looks pregnant. However there are stitches around said bloated stomach, as if it had been cut open then closed again, and a little fuse was going off that was coming out of her stomach...

She was a human bomb. A FUCKING HUMAN BOMB (okay kitsune bomb, they're not really human YOU GET THE POINT) and she was meant to EXPLODE YUKARI. Yukari obviously was far too shocked to react in time and suddenly an explosion, this horribly wounds Yukari, then a CHEN BOMB shows up to finish her off, and she does. Reisen II then leaves.

And this part finally answered why fanart of this series depicts Koishi as blonde. Koishi's headless, limbless body gets up, using the tentacles that now stick out of her open wounds as substitute limbs, and she uses Yukari's body. Her head is now Yukari's, her LIMBS are now Yukari's. KOISHI IS BLONDE IN THE FANARTS BECAUSE THAT IS YUKARI'S HEAD.

...and that's really all that has happened so far, but I probably missed something. Egads... (I think Reisen II tried to assassinate Reimu next but Reisen the original saved her, which was extremely weird considering the last time we saw Reisen Tewi was SMASHING HER KNEES WITH HER HAMMER.)

And this is what I get with my curiosity. (If you want something else fucked up but MUCH less gruesome, you should see KamS' works...that is DERANGED. They're actually canon depictions of actual events in Touhou, but in a VERY strange way as if you've just smoked pot or something. Have a video. I actually think the Murasa one is more messed up, but it's slightly NSFW to link if this entire post isn't NSFW already. If you are so curious, look for UFO characters in the preview picture of the same style in the suggestions. :X)

...that is all?
