Hahaha!
I'm gonna end up abusing this icon. I love that picture of chibi-Kazumi so much!
Plus, it actually is related to what this post is about! A new story? That's right! Despite a million other unfinished stories of mine, I present my Livejournal with yet another one!
...or IS IT a new story? Nope, not at all. I had actually started this two years back, and only continued it recently. So writing styles and whiplash is to be expected. I probably write a lot different (worse, probably >__>) now than before. Nonetheless, my interest in it started up again for some reason...
Actually there is a reason. The most recent chapter of Negima did it, with the Yuuna development. How she acted in that chapter surprised me somewhat, and yet in a way did not. I'm not sure. Recently this manga has been throwing epic characters at me all of the sudden. Nodoka suddenly standing up to super-strong person and getting her and Asakura out of trouble despite having no combat experience (and without fighting!) Ako somehow managing to keep herself not only sane and stable, but able to take something usually devastating and making her response epic. I'm wondering how Akamatsu seems to do this without making them feel like Mary Sues. It's probably his excellent storytelling. Or I don't know, maybe they're all hiding it, like Asuna seems to be after her memories returned. Until this STUPID CLIFFHANGER IS RESOLVED IN TWO WEEKS, I will probably rant to myself forever. To the actual story however...
I present you (really, just Aoi-dono) with RED! What is Red you ask? Why it is my awesomely original title for an AU medieval story with Yuuna Akashi as the idiot hero. She really is one in the manga, so it only feels natural. (Okay, the hero part is a bit lacking but she's already showing the attitude for it >>) It also features my pathetic attempts at tragedy even though I don't think I can really pull it off without making people act like whiny asses. Oh well.
And you might know Red as a little plot I came up with once, where I plugged it in my journal as well somewhere. Also you might wonder why I chose these characters for this AU. The COMPLETE AND SIMPLE REASON IS THAT...I like them. There is absolutely no logical reason why Kazumi is interacting with Yuuna, or why Chisame is trampling people with horses. It's like the Queen of England being best friends with Attila the Hun! Wow, now isn't that a story idea we could go with too...
It is here!
