CURSE THIS COLD TO DEATH.
In other news...
Tomorrow is my Bio test, and after developing this cold over the weekend, I really don't want to go back to school (even for an hour just to do a test) but I have to or I'll fail Bio big time, lol.
Anyway, because I am being very hamster crazy at the moment...
Lol. That was long. I hope you all read. ^^

Tomorrow is my Bio test, and after developing this cold over the weekend, I really don't want to go back to school (even for an hour just to do a test) but I have to or I'll fail Bio big time, lol.
Anyway, because I am being very hamster crazy at the moment...
All the hamsters I've ever had and pictures of them (if they have any):
Before we start, I just want to say I really miss them all (besides the ones I have now, since they're not dead). They were all different from each other. I suppose the first two hamsters I ever had should be martyrs to my current hamsters because that was when I was an inexperienced eleven-year-old idiot and they had to suffer for the experience I gained, thus taking care of my hamsters better now. Ironically, they were the longest living hamsters I ever had, so life is confusing. Before I started raising hamsters, I had frogs and fish. (Actually I still have fish. Piyo's death still haunts me) Oddly enough out of my family (and possibly friends) I was the only one who could tell the difference between which pets I had. You could've said that the three fish, Pyon (named for Chisame), Piyo [R.I.P.] (named for Asakura), and Pimp (supposedly named after Sayo, O_o) all looked identical, but I could tell the difference. Heck, I can tell the difference between Daniel and Henrik Sedin, a pair of twins in the Vancouver Canucks! I'm not trying to brag, but for some reason I can tell.
Which is why I could tell which hamster is which when searching for old pictures of hamsters. Plus my frogs, I could tell the difference between them too, lol. (One had a golden eye, it was awesome)
Anyway, without further ado...HAMSTER NUMBER ONE!
Hammy

Hammy was my very first hamster. I'm pretty sure I wrote something about getting Hammy (and Hobo) in another LJ entry before, but let's recap anyway. I wanted a pet other than frogs and fish, why? It was because I wanted something to cuddle with. Something fluffy, furry, and definitely not wet. The choices were many, say a rabbit, a cat, a dog (I still want a dog, -_-), gerbil, ferret, etc. were those of many choices, but...I did not decide. We were at a friend's house, and they always had pets. Currently they have a dog and a cat (and I think a turtle as well) but back then they had two hamsters. They weren't named, and were taken from a breeder (for free!). One was a more agressive skinnier one living in a bucket (which is bad, mm'kay? Don't make em live in buckets, get a cage, aquarium, or bin, dood) and a fatter one living in a...I don't know what it was but it's also not a good place for a hamster to live in, lol.
After much persuasion towards my mother after seeing those adorable dwarf hamsters (they were separated because the skinnier one tried to kill the fatter one), my mom finally agreed to get one. We were to wait for the breeder (who are sucky breeders, later on all their hamsters, which is like 20 of em, died due to neglect!) to get new pups. I was a tad impatient...okay, very. So our friend decided to give us their fatter hamster. (They liked the skinnier one better, and at the time at the first visit, so did I) However, either way I was overjoyed.
The fatter hamster was Hammy, and the only reason I got it was due to impatience. =) Hammy was a very lazy hamster. He, of all hamsters, suffered the most "near-death experiences" in going into shock twice, and having a stroke later in life. But he was a very cute and adorable hamster. He was dominant towards Hobo, whom I got when the new pups were born at the breeder. I loved him a lot, :). And when he did pass on (after even LONGER than two years of life, which is incredibly old, for he is the longest living hamster I've ever had) he went peacefully (albeit a tad disturbing, >>, I won't say details) and since he was the first thing that ever left life to ever impact me, it struck hard.
He would bite if he felt threatened, such as being woken up without warning, and he was not entirely smart, per say. He jumped from ANY point in height (which is what led to him going into shock, his tendency to jump off high areas, needless to say, I didn't hold him very high after that...) and also was a great survivor. Of all my hamsters, I would dub him the greatest survivor. Another tidbit is that whenever he escaped, he is always found in the kitchen.
He is also the only hamster that I watched peacefully pass on when asleep, while the rest I discovered gone. The day before he went, he was very slow, but it was very odd that he became incredibly hyper at night. O_o
Rest well, Hammy. January 2002 - July 2004.
Hobo

Hobo was called Hobo...as a joke. It eventually became his actual name (Hammy was originally called Cyber, no perverted jokes please, xD and Hobo was called Hyper...except he wasn't that hyper compared to other hamsters of mine, =P) In the picture above, Hobo was actually lying on top of Hammy. (It was utterly adorable, sadly Asako and Otter don't do that...yet, xP) Except you can't see Hammy, lol.
Anyway, as I've said I received Hobo from the newest litter from the breeder. Actually, I got a female hamster accidentally, but luckily I figured out its gender (even though it was only like three weeks old and quite small) and then got Hobo. (I wish I could've kept the little girl, though. Sadly since the breeders forgot to feed their 20 hamsters [how do you forget to feed TWENTY hamsters!?] they all died, but I certainly hope the little girl found a home before that point. -_-;) A little fun fact is that when I got the female one I actually introduced her to Hammy for a few minutes, and I think Hammy was trying to rape her. xDDD; Then I got Hobo, and Hammy was probably still trying to rape him until he found out his gender, lol.
Anyway, Hobo was by far the nicest hamster I have ever had. He NEVER bit, EVER. Never ever in his entire super-long life. (Though after Hammy passed on, Hobo looked incredibly lonely, T_T) Everybody besides my mom (and me, I don't choose, mm'kay?) preferred him over Hammy since he was cuter and smaller, but I loved them both equally. Hobo was a very loud squeaker, and squeaked whenever he had fun squabbles with Hammy. Also, if I were to dub him with one word (like for example I called Hammy "the survivor") I would describe Hobo as the "Escape-artist". He escaped so often and was very tricky towards escaping. He is considered smarter than Hammy because Hammy bumped his head twice and fell into shock, and sadly chewed the bars all the time, causing brain damage (><). Whenever he escaped, we would find him in the washroom, probably because it was cooler than other rooms.
He was a more pickier eater than Hammy (but not as much as SOME hamsters, >> *cough*) and a bit more active, but still quite lazy. Hobo was considered a little brother to Hammy (though they weren't from the same litter, they were from the same breeder and Hammy was most likely the uncle or a cousin to Hobo, lol) and hamster love defined them, definitely.
In Hobo's later years, (meaning after Hammy's passing) Hobo looked sad and started to show signs of old age. He also had an injury once, and an eye infection (>>), but he died in his sleep. The one thing I regret after Hammy died was that I kept telling myself I had to play with Hobo more because he'd be lonely, but I had forgotten and never did very often when Hobo left us. It makes me sad, TT. I should've played with him more, damnit!
So here's to Hobo, an awesome hamster. April 2002 - August 2004.
Vulcan Max

I apologize for the REALLY bad picture, but it's sadly the only picture of Vulcan Max I have since others died after the stupid battery in our old camera went dead, along with all the pictures with it. It makes me sad. (This whole post is making me sad, >>)
Vulcan Max is a boy's name, and I really thought she was a boy when we got her from the pet store. She was in a cage with like 30 other kiddy hamsters, and they were all barely three weeks old. She was quite small then. All the hamsters were climbing the cage and jumping around insanely. They were hyper and insane, and INSANE!!! Holy crap. The clerk had told me that she was a boy, and gave her to me. Let's say I didn't find out she was a SHE until like three months later. Whoopsie, store clerk. Vulcan Max is named after my Beyblade obsession, as she lived during the majority of when I was in UBER BEYBLADE MODE YAH. Vulcan for Rei's Beyblade, and Max after...Max! BTW y'all, it's Max Week!
I also called my email after her. "vulcanmax@gmail.com". (On another note, my Yahoo email was named after Hobo and my real name backwards "yelhsahobo@yahoo.ca" while I called myself "Hammy" (put it in my real name box)) Vulcan Max was an albino hamster, with red eyes, and lived during some of the most depressing parts of my life. (Another depressing note, she bites more than others) But I loved her either way.
She was an incredibly active hamster. Ran, climbed, ran, climbed, ate for a bit, ran, climbed....when the hell does she sleep!? I'm not sure. I recall playing with her during Halloween of '04 (or '05, I honestly don't remember) and my friend was incredibly afraid of her like when she screamed insanely after HEARING a bee.
Sadly, I don't remember many memories of VM, but she did chew a lot. She was a teether, and to also call her in one word like Hammy and Hobo, I will call her the "Chewer".
She passed away unexpectedly...which made me incredibly sad, D: . Since it happened while I was at school (only hamster to go like that when I'm in school) and didn't live as long as I would've hoped...
Another day, Vulcan Max. August 2004 - November 2005.
Toto

Thinking about Toto seriously makes me sad. She was my most tragic hamster. She ran a lot, A LOT, and bit so much I couldn't even find a way to tame her. I got her from a different pet store, and it seemed like she lived there for a while. I don't even know when she was born, but she didn't live long with me. My friend and another friend came with me as well to the store (as well as a few other people) and bought pets. One got a rat, the other got a mouse, and I got Toto. After Toto passed on, my friend's mouse went shortly thereafter. Now I don't trust that pet store one bit. It doesn't seem like it treats its animals, at least the small ones, well. To describe her in one word...I suppose The "Runner" fits, eh?
I wish I knew you better Toto, October 2005 (guessed date) - January 2006.
Hedgehog

Oh boy, Hedgehog. The above picture is him as a baby. In fact, the only picture of a baby hamster I gots. :) Ah yeah, I don't think I've gotten over him leaving me yet, ^^; After all it happened just two weeks ago. Since he's pretty recent, I have a ton of memories I still got of him. I think I called him Hedgehog because I absolutely love the Hazelnut Hedgehog chocolates, plus it's a pretty cool animal, eh? I got him from the same pet store as Vulcan Max, and I can clearly remember that he was hiding in a little tube when I got him. Awesome, awesome hamster.
When they put him in the box my mom went to go buy some shoes (we were in a mall) and I actually played with him before we got home. He was the only hamster I did that with. He was quite a smart hamster as well, and was also a pretty picky eater. (Pickier than Hobo!) At first he was quite a lazy hamster, but then he suddenly became incredibly active. He reminded me of Hammy in looks, and bit whenever he felt threatened or was woken up suddenly, similar to Hammy. Whenever I brought food into my room he automatically smelt it and just came running out of his blue house jumping up insanely for food. Whenever he sensed my presence he just became an incredibly hyper hamster as if he wanted me to play with him or something.
I rarely saw him slept, he often annoyed me with the wheel at night. He ran like a speeding bullet, and ate like a speeding bullet. He was fat, then skinny, then fat, and just was such a sweet awesome little hamster. I played with him often, and the whole family loved him. He bit one of my friends (lol!), peed on another, and just went insane like a cute little hamster he was. He liked to bit people's crotches (LMAO!) and had a "chewing clothes" phase, but got out of it. He chewed, ran, ate, and was smart as well. I suppose he was one of my most well-rounded hamsters...ever.
I've always played with him in the most creative of ways. He's the only one I went playing with a watch at (and other things). I held him often AND he was he ONLY HAMSTER to ever travel with him. I took him to Victoria for two days because nobody was around to take care of him at the time. (Dunno if he enjoyed it though, lol) We SNEAKED him into the apartment (we lived in my bro's apartment). Of all hamsters, it really felt as if Hedgehog really loved me back. He was like a dog, loyal, and I just did EVERYTHING with him! I even fed him well. I could very well imagine him going, "WOOOO!!! SPOT'S BACK!!!!" if he was a human and saw me coming home.
He ate everything I ate (because I couldn't say no!) and jumped whenever I was there. I loved this hamster like hell. It was like everything in one package. To add even more, his nickname was "Booboo", a nickname given by my brother. The only other nickname my brother gave was Hammy, and called him Hammy-Ham-Ham. (Which is how Hammy was even named!)
Hedgehog, you will be forever missed, by everybody, December 2006 - June 2007.
Asako

I won't say much about Asako or Otter, as I've only had them for two weeks, mm'kay? xD. So far though, Asako, when I first got him, was a very shy hamster and was frightened constantly. Oddly enough he was also a deep sleeper, xD. Now he's a bit better, isn't scared at all and is kind of like Hedgehog in the sense that if I come to the bin, he wants FOOD. (But as a deep sleeper can't tell that fast, xD) He's more active than Otter, but not that active. Asako is the one that gets "raped" by Otter (according to Shiroi, xD) if you've seen the video. Asako is named after my nickname for Asakura, =P
Asako was probably born in March or April.
Otter

My mom finally let me get a hamster that doesn't have red eyes, xD. Otter is named Otter because he looks like an Otter and I've been edging to use that name for a while. When I got Otter he was the only one left in the store, and thus was alone. He is the one that "rapes" Asako (according to Shiroi, again, =D) in the video and is better in pictures than Asako. (You'll understand later). Otter wasn't scared at all, but shook a lot for some reason when I first picked him up. He seems to not bite at all, but kind of bite-grabbed me once (didn't hurt though)
Otter was most likely born in April or May. (Maybe even March, but he was smaller than Asako when I got him, so I figure he's younger)
And that's a wrap! Those are all the hamsters I've ever had or have. I love them ALL.
To end, have some random hamster pictures:

Here's a phone-quality picture of Hedgehog. That's me hand.

Here's Hedgehog drinking wata. :D

Here's him eating...something. I forget.

And here's a huge blurry picture of Hedgehog which I forgot to resize. xDDDD

I don't know whether this is Hammy or Hobo. He LOOKS like Hobo but I don't recall taking a picture of Hobo by himself...but it's possible.

Here's Hammy n' Hobo. Hammy's on the left, Hobo the right. They are adorable.

Here's a bad photo, but it's hilarious. =D (Hammy and Hobo)

Asako here is hiding. CAN YOU SEE ASAKO!?

That's where he was. =D

Asako's hiding again, but Otter's there to seek him out. =P

Otter's sitting there and Asako ran off the shot, >>;

Asako and Otter. Asako's apparently bad in pictures, he didn't let us see his face! D:

Or maybe Otter's just a camerawhore. =D
Well...I'm done for today. Thanks for reading.
One last thing...

IT'S MAH OT3, BIATCH!!!!!!
CKS

Otter's sitting there and Asako ran off the shot, >>;

Asako and Otter. Asako's apparently bad in pictures, he didn't let us see his face! D:

Or maybe Otter's just a camerawhore. =D
Well...I'm done for today. Thanks for reading.
