I've been overfeeding myself with those DELICIOUS rice cracker things, you know the "Bin-Bin" ones, those extremely HIGHLY addicting little cookies that are so scrumcious it's impossible to stop eating? Yeah, a bag of it is all gone and most of the other bag is gone, as much as I want to finish it, since it's right in front of me, I'm kind of full...

However, today is a Battle B Daman review day, but just like what happened with Bull Supremacy and Bull Identity, I didn't like it too much. For some reason I've lost that connection with Tsubame, I like Li a hole fudging lot now and him acting bad-guyish again and all cocky and everything makes it seem weird, especially when Tsubame ignores his arrogant speeches "you're not going to WIN" and retapes his bdaman (as of last Bda review Li smashed it) I just don't like how he lost is all, the ending part was pretty good though, it's about to reveal more of Li's inconsistentsies with life and the which path to choose, the good or bad? To be stricken as a goody-two shoes humiliated weakling traitor for his own beliefs or to melt in guilt as he continues to stay in the Shadow Alliance, eating all of his mind up? Yes, this is what I believe leads to those crazy nut bad guys, so Li better not become that!

Today I shall write about what I wished this episode would be more like, than what did happen.

Episode 14: "That's What Friends Are For"
This episode outlines the friendship of Yamato and Tsubame, and how Yamato is a very determined kid who will keep his promises. It also has Gray helping Yamato without Yamato knowing, which is good for their problems, but...
being interested more in the whole "Li" issue, it doesn't take me one bit, and I've read out some summaries of the future, and Li isn't going to be appearing as much then, which makes me quite sad.
Li smashes Wing ninja. Tsubame is determined to win anyway, he tapes it abck up, the bdaman still looks weak, Yamato promises to find the spare parts for Tsubame after the first round is over, after chasing dog-beings who stole the parts ordered by Ababa.. (How ironic, a cat-like human chasing dogs...) Yamato ends up getting his reward and helps Tsubame out of trouble...

Thsi episode outlined friendship and teamwork, in which not only did they beleived in themselves, which Li ultimately did and so did Tsubame, Li was missing one thing. Tsubame's team believed in each other also, and that bought Tsubame the victory.

Now, this is what I "wanted" it to happen, be informed that this is in a biased view from a disappointed fangirl, ^___^

Hoping that Li got to his senses, Li SHOULD'VE maybe have stalled for Yamato to get the parts for a fair battle, showing some momentum in him. (That his decision was a fatal mistake, but it would've been more, realistic in some way if he had down that) Making a fiar game, but as he didn't, Li let it go. Though the ending part where he remembers his work with Mie kind of makes it sweet, it seems kind of like a harsh loss as well...

And that is all, not going to fill the whole LJ post with Bdaman like last time, heh. Character Development is what I like in Bdaman other than humour, and that's what I want. Not another stupid Yamato episode, like this one.

Ah, yesterday was Canada Day, and all I did to celebrate it was sing the Canadian Anthem (yep, I'm one of the few people who know all the words to it, huh) And yeah, that's it. Quite an interesting first of July, no?

You all notice the "orphaned or half-orphaned" scenario is rather popular with a lot of things that have to do with entertaining, plays, movies, shows, novels, etc. An example is Harry Potter, or basically every person in Bdaman, or Rei, because no one tells you who the hell his parents are, Takao I think, but I don't think he mom is actually dead, but who knows? In DBZ, both Goku's and Vegeta's parents are pretty much dead, in Gundam SEED, well, I think it's pretty obvious there, in .hack;//sign as well, also in Full Metal Alchemist which proved a big point for that storyline,  ANYTHING basically, all the Animes I can name. In fact, maybe in HAMTARO because it doesn't look like Hamtaro has any parents or known them much. Even in LOTR, millions of books, a plenty of shows, how tortured or minorally-roled these parents are, pushed tot he background to never be seen, or mindlessly killed to get out of the way, to put in emotion or something to these characters.

Which is also why people don't get taught well to behave with older adults since in the "happy fictional world" all thsoe parents are dead or never mentioned.  Where are they? Why are so many of them up there, watching all their children become "heroic" because of their emotional and trauma in their once lives. Think of the many games, they bring in these characters, where the heck ARE their parents, they MUST have parents,d ead or not, or how would they have come to life?

See? It's nice to think about things that don't make much point or anything. Wouldn't it have been better if they killed some other family member off? Oh sure, in Naruto, Sasuke has the pleasure to have most of his family killed off as well, so yeah, another thing coming along. Naruto doesn't seem to have parents either, heck, what Anime DOES have two parents there with the family? Sakura in Cardcaptor Sakura didn't have a mom, Max's parents are seperated/divorced, isn't there a SINGLE family out there with two parents with children of a big role in the show/play/anime/something that have the parents both alive and loving each other? Sure, they are in Romeo and Juliet, but those two die in the end anyway, so the parents aren't parents anymore!

So what do we learn from parents? That they are not needed if we were in the happy alternate dimension known as paradise and fiction.

But then again, without something like that, I suppose it wouldn't attract much interested people that want to watch/read/etc. these things, despite how unoriginal it is. I dare someone to try to write a story about someone who has a family and can make a good long thorough -written story with many genres.

And no, Sailor Moon is not an exception, Usagi herself may have two parents, but not many of the other senshi do. (Ami has a mom and...uhh...) (Rei has...a dad, who I don't think she likes very much) (Makoto is an orphan, basically) (I think Minako has two parents, correct me if I'm wrong) And for everybody else I doubt they are mentioned...except for Chibi-Usa/Rini, who of course has two alive parents...
Whoot, I like ranting.

Oh yes, the LFO craze, I'm still in that craze, but I'm not going to mention it much here, in fact, I just want to pointlessly talk about the fandom in this very game. Possibly excluding the Chinese fandom or the main ones, but I may say something about them.

For every fan I've met, they either:
1) Like cheating! (coughan00bcough)
2) Mastered the whole game and stopped playing to master the skills of data-changing and spends their days creating lovely characters. They also despise LFO because all they've played is the simple beta version which is obviously crap... (coughcockypeoplecough)
3) Just play the game, create clans, and network to other people. (coughtheboringscough)
4) Try to make BIG GIANT projects like creating a whole new engine for it to work on, or create new 3-D LF2 games, so not data-changing, but going BEYOND (coughthegodscough)
5) Like LF1 better because it is much more simpler and is harder. (coughtheidiotscough)
6) Enjoy downloading overpowered characters for their own 10-second attentions pan brains. (coughthelazycough)
7) Are your average fangirl. (coughMEcough)

It is a game. I see. When they write fanfics, they do not seem to depict good personalities on them. (With the exception of "Under the Necromancer's Eye" Click HERE to read.) All they write about is pure action scenes for what they really are. One of the longest stories of LF2 out there (called "The Legend of the Little Fighters) Is an extremely popular and is thought as a very well written story, but in fact, the personalities haven't been well-developed. Also, there are exaggerations, I mean, how can Davis have the ability to use fire? How can he transform like Louis? I don't like that at all, and not only because it's DAVIS, it's just something he just can't plain do. I mean, even if they did it with John, I still wouldn't like it, maybe a bit more than Davis, but still, it isn't entirely realistic.

They claim it to be the story of Stage, and actually explain a good way how all the duplicates appear, I also understand the parts that aren't related to stage, which makes sense. But just giving someone this isn't a good excuse, they made him fight Louis EX, it should've been Louis himself to do so, he was supposed to be the main protagonist here, but they throw it off with this nonsense. (They also rip off Dragonball Z and have these "Dragon beans" to "magically" heal you, suspiciously like Senzu Beans, making John...quite useless...*and also other healing characters such as Jan or Sorcerer*) I mean, my stories are NOT based on Stage, because I don't like Stage's duplicates and stuff, that's why I don't care where I go with my fanfictions.

And that one I mentioned "Under the Necromancer's Eye" is a good story as well. Even if Davis is the main character, it brings in a sense of reality, and sticks with what skills they knew. (Or what skills they have yet to know, as with Davis learning the Dragon Punch, etc.) heck, they even make Henry a TV Star, that makes me a Happy Spot indeed. (I dislike how the person uses his adjectives, it brings in humour, yes, but kind of grosses me out as well) Also, the writer claims to have written THAT pieces of marvelous work when he was ELEVEN, that is extremely good and very shocking.

Fanart. I've seen few, rare fanarts around, but I have seen some. Some are very well done, I have seen one of Deep looking extremely "Americanized' I must say. Some are astonishing, while others I wish they've never tried to draw them. There are also the edited pictures (not to be confused with edited sprites)  Like where they switched heads on those official drawings (it was scary, believe me) and how people depict their own fantasy world (and as much as I do...) Like making Jan hug John in their weirdest pairing-est way in which scares me like no other. I like how they edit the main "portrait" pictures, there's a very well done one of a dead-zombie looking Davis, very realistic and gruesome.

And finally, fandom, fan pairings and the like. In all the stories I've read, each character, or most of them at least, have been different, in other words, their fanon personalities. While LFO may have already made theirs official, that doesn't stop these fans from putting their own for good simple LF2. A good example for a character that is constantly different is Freeze.
In one story, Freeze is the "weird person" who pops out of nowhere and startles you, like a curious person, in another he is the "kind and loyal-hearted" one, and some fans depict him as a "cold, distant kind of person"  For a person who constantly has the same personalities might be John, "The geek." "The mature" "The...smart" Ladeeda, and that's it.

I suspect that it's likely LFO will come out as a cartoon/Anime, that their personalities may be different, perhaps it's a lost hope for some characters, like Rudolf or Louis or John, but there's still a gap for others that haven't shown enough of themselves to become a wide enough opportunity, and a well-loved character.
