How can I say this...
Jan. 9th, 2007 04:07 amIt's 4:07am on a school night, HUZZAH, but the point being....
I have just finished watching ALL of Mahou Sensei Negima, AKA the "first" season of Negima. And despite Aoi's saying about how crappy the first series and the manga is, I concur. I'm pretty sure MS Negima has a lot more fanservice, but at the same time has more character development than the Negima!? series. First of all my complaints on this 1st one is that they have a plot in the beginning and then many many many many episodes in between which do not continue the plot at all. I admit they were incredibly amusing (especially episode 14, that cracked me up so hard that I literally LOL'ed for the longest time) but seriously, the plot started picking up at like, episode 20!!! That is insane! After episode 9-19 is like...NO PLOT MOVEMENT!!! DDDD:
AND THERE'S ONLY 26 EPISODES SO WE HAVE 6 EPISODES TO FINISH UP THE PLOT!! (Which was very rushed mind you) I actually don't care for the fanservice, for most of the fanservice was in the beginning of the series. When I watched the OVA, the fanservice was so much (Setsuna was 120% pervert...which is odd). However I still enjoyed it because it "developed" the character of a few of the class members (obviously you can't do 31 people in 26 episodes, that is the utmost impossible) What else annoyed me was nobody Pactio'ed with Negi until the last episode with the exception of Asuna of course. I was like, "C'MON F**KING PACTIO ALREADY!!! JEEBUS!!!"
However I still really liked it, despite the fact that it was like...everybodyxNegi basically (besides KonoSetsu, which was extremely AWESOME, mind you) The humour was beautiful, the action was awesome, and it was even SAD too, only few animes can do this successfully IMHO. Oh yes, I like Yue, Yue is very cool, she is like, my favourite character (before that there was no favourite character, xP). Yue was very amusing (in BOTH Mahou Sensei Negima! and Negima!?) There you go.
BTW, I have found the manga and starting tomorrow, Spot will read the whole manga too. God bless you, Ken.
