Jan. 20th, 2007 04:49 amToday's post is brought to you by CHEESE! Why? Today is NATIONAL CHEESE DAY! Although it may not be the BIFF Cheese's actual day, the food cheese gets itself celebrated today!
Unfortunately I'm out of cheese...>>
Anyway, one word to describe most of the day: Sabourin.
Well okay, that's not a word, it's a name. Our backup goaltender of the Vancouver Canucks, played AWESOME tonight. 33 saves, spectacular saves too, especially near the end of the 3rd. He was 40 seconds from his first win of the NHL when suddenly the moronic and evil Buffalo Sabres won the faceoff, whom Mo was waved off from the circle and they put Bulis in. That was a particularly stupid moment for AV, which led to them having 3 bounces, all pretty lucky I must say, and then the puck going over Sab's shoulder. How bittersweet was it that it was....FORTY SECONDS! So we went to OT, and then the shootout and not many people can score (Sabou made a nice save of the first shot). It was heartbreaking.
So best of luck to that backup goaltender! One day he will be an excellent goalie...for now he's just 1 point away from victory.
And FYI, I love his mask design (while apparently 90% of people don't). The funny thing is the newest episode of South Park (in America, us canadians are always behind like 2 episodes) was about pee-wee hockey and Ike being awesome at it because he's canadian! xD. NEW NEW NEW HAMPSHIRE FTW!
