Son of a bitch.
Apr. 10th, 2007 12:00 amARGH!! SON OF A BITCH! FUCK! I HATE THIS FUCKING COMPUTER!
My computer was being a bitch, and there were several driver errors and such and such. So I decided to use the system recovery (after it crashed three times when I attempted to scan it with my antivirus) which backs up my files. Anyway, apparently for some moronic reason that these stupid microsoft developers decided to do is MAKE FOLDERS HIDDEN FROM OTHER ACCOUNTS. Which actually, I think is GOOD, but there is absolutely NO OPTION TO TURN IT OFF.
So when I did do the system recovery and made a new account, all my files were still there, I JUST COULDN'T ACCESS IT. I had to go into safe mode about 3893833 times (and EVEN GOING INTO SAFE MODE IS A BITCH TO DO. I have to click F8 A MILLION times for it to actually WORK!) to change all the permission things which were very time-consuming to do and managed to get my Emulator folder back, but I was trying to get My Documents as well, but for some odd strange reason it didn't work no matter how much I tried.
THE DAMN WINDOW JUST KEPT COMING UP WITH FUCKING ACCESS DENIED.
MY DOCUMENTS ARE IMPORTANT. Not only was I looking forward to finally FINISHING chapter 10 of that farm story, all the pretty fanarts, THE WEBSITE I HAD JUST FINISHED MAKING A FEW DAYS AGO, some very AWESOME PHOTOS, and my fanart, graphics, hentai, doujin, and millions of other things is IN THAT NOTABLETOBEACCESSEDFOLDERTHATISVERYTHERE.
What is the whole POINT of backing the files up if you can't TOUCH THEM AT ALL!?
I was trying to fix all this in the last FIVE HOURS. NONSTOP FOR THE LAST FIVE HOURS. IT ALSO DIDN'T HELP THAT AFTER SEVEN MONTHS OF HAVING THIS LAPTOP, THAT IT DECIDES TO OVERHEAT MULTIPLE TIMES. I mean of the WHOLE SEVEN MONTHS I had it, it NEVER overheated and now for some god forsaken reason decided that it's a FINE TIME TO OVERHEAT, AT THE WORSE SITUATION POSSIBLE. IT'S NOT EVEN SUMMER AND TODAY MY HOUSE IS DRAFTY. I'M COLD.
Anyway, I'm still trying to get it to work like I did my other folder but I don't know how I did it.
