spoon jabbing hurts, kids

Do you ever read a story, an incredibly long one, 150,000 words that just completely sucks you in...keeping you up four hours after your bedtime just to end in a cliffhanger, and not ANY cliffhanger--A COMPLETELY DEPRESSING ONE, like a DOWNER ending, and the author promises to update in four days but their promise was given A YEAR AGO!?
It's like eating a drumstick! YOU GET TO EAT EVERYTHING, you're almost done, you're about to hit the caramel center when you suddenly taste BITTERNESS, like onions being sliced, FORCING TEARS OUT OF YOUR EYES, but you know that caramel center is worth it, so you continue, and continue, but....there's nothing left, no caramel at all to finish off your delightful snack! Like being ROBBED of your childhood! AGHHHH. AGHHHHHHH. WHAT THE HELL MAN. So all you have is a bitter aftertaste after all that sweet cream and nuts, chocolate, and vanilla! And now I'm hungry! I won't even be able to fall asleep because of how unsatisfying that was! AFJDOSNGKFJSGJSGKSBNFKJBNFKSBNSFGVBD
Like watching a moviek, and the entire movie is an epic, with excellent acting, amazing effects, and just brilliant storytelling, but then at the end, everyone randomly drops dead, and the buildings fall down, then a swarm of chimpanzees flock into the screen, littering banana peels everywhere...and then the movie DOESN'T end, it just hangs there, in the silent scene of death, destruction, and banana peels.
That had to be the worst feeling I've had...the fanfic was absolutely amazing, and for it to be like that....GAH. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to jab myself with a spoon.
