So if you've noticed all of my mood images changed...and I mean ALL of them. This time for the first time ever, I created a mood theme for EVERY SINGLE MOOD AVALIABLE: 131 images. (I only had 30 images for my Negima theme >_>) (See here for ALL the moods)
ARGH. REMIND ME TO NEVER DO THAT AGAIN.
Took FOREVER. And yes they are all of Kaoru. Not of PPGZ generally, but ONLY KAORU. 131 DIFFERENT KAORU PICTURES. Why did I do it? I noticed how incredibly expressive she was in the Anime so I thought why not...gah.
Certain moods were much harder than others. For example I had no problem with any of the angry moods, but sad moods or thoughtful ones were quite hard to find/figure out. ALSO LJ has the worst moods ever. I wanted to have a HORRIFIED mood but there isn't even a horrified, the closest is scared! THEN FOR SOME REASON GEEKY, DORKY, AND NERDY ARE ALL THERE. WHY? Kaoru is a jock, I really had to be a bit loose with the definition for those moods to show up.
Anyway the Negima moods have been sitting there for pretty much three years, plus there were only 30 so every time I had a happy mood even if they were somewhat different-positive emotions, it was always the same mood icon...so today they will finally be different. I know what mood will mark this post, that's for sure ~_~
Anyway, the team idea gave me a idea. I should have more than one team rather than putting all my efforts to only six Pokemon! After all I have many favourite Pokemon, not just six. So I compiled two more teams yesterday with the Pokemon I either have right now (and if not they're in their first forms) or Pokemon I will obtain in trades eventually. Without further ado...I give you: (Well first my current party)
Charizard (Aoi-dono) <FIRE/FLYING>
Tyranitar (Kaoru) <DARK/ROCK> (with ground)
Kingdra (Bubbles) <WATER/DRAGON> (with ice)
Electivire (Edmend) <ELECTRIC>
Espeon (Shiroi) <PSYCHIC>
Heracross (Doughboy) <BUG/FIGHTING> (with ground)
Team 3 consists of:
Feraligatr (Cunchy) <WATER> (with ice/dark)
Marowak (Sayo) <GROUND> (with rock/normal)
Houndoom (Hong Kong) <DARK/FIRE>
Lucario (Henry) <FIGHTING/STEEL>
Scizor (Akira) <BUG/STEEL>
Zangoose (Zangief) [Named by Souless P:] <NORMAL> (with bug/dark)
As you can see I don't have as much planned yet for the other two teams. Yes I did name my Larvitar Kaoru, lol. I also realize Tyranitar is a pseudo-legendary, but I think it's okay for one of my teams, pretty much an equivalent to a Dragonite I guess. I don't actually like Kingdra that much but I kind of wanted a dragon-type on one of the teams and it just turns out that all the dragon-type Pokemon I can actually obtain are either legendary or pseudo-legendary, so I went with the only one neither of those, Kingdra. I had a hard time choosing between Blastoise or Feraligatr but I I eventually went for the alligator since I already named it, and also considering the attacks I need my water pokemon to have (offensive/ice attacks) I wanted a more offensive water-type. I am not much of a tank person despite having a few...I think steel somewhat helps, but otherwise team 2 might be the slowest/tankiest team I think.
Oh yeah, I'm not fond of grass-type Pokemon. I don't know why, but I'm not. :X (Or even grass attacks!)
I obviously like my first team the best. I mean while the pokemon I have aren't necessarily super amazing-tier, they're not bad either, as I originally fought. Floatzel for example is actually quite useful because he can be EXTREMELY fast particularly with rain dance, and with above-average attack/special attack stats he's quite useful. Luxray though not as fast, has insane attack stats, so I could give him pretty powerful physical moves such as Crunch. (Also my current Luxray has rivalry ability...I should get an Intimidate Luxray :X) Sandslash isn't considered good but he is pretty decent for a pure ground type, and all my teams will always have Sandslash, no exceptions. Even Furret is pretty good particularly for passing stats and such, so those types along with my much higher tier Gengar and Typhlosion leaves me with a well-rounded team.
Of course I'm not forming my teams in any sort of formal "build" persay, like how people have special sweepers or whatever...it's pretty casual. I'm just forming these teams for the hell of it lol.
The second team is probably my higher-tier team, if I can develop them I should use them at the Battle Frontier so I can get BP points which are stupidly hard to obtain with my current party. My third team is my random team, lol. I mostly put a bunch of Pokemon I really like. The third generation of Pokemon is my least favourite generation, and pretty much the only pokemon I actually like from that gen. is Zangoose, which is why he is here.
Of course in the end I'm kind of sad that I haven't included my most favourite Pokemon of all in any of these teams: Arcanine. The problem is he's a pure fire type so I can't take advantage of a secondary type, and also because it's HGSS...thus why I need a Typhlosion as I'm not so big with the other starters (though Feraligatr isn't bad). Also Arcanine doesn't have a lot of good attacks despite pretty insane stats, which is unfortunate. If I made a team four I'd definitely include him...in fact let's make a team 4 for the hell of it right now!
Arcanine <FIRE>
Nidoking <POISON/GROUND>
Blastoise <WATER>
Umbreon <DARK>
Aggron <STEEL/ROCK>
Alakazam <PSYCHIC>
Well..okay then.
I also have a 58 minute-long podcast-type rant for absolutely no reason. I think I was jacked up on coke or something and felt like talking a lot (I casted two SC2 games that day too) IT IS AN HOUR LONG SO OBVIOUSLY YOU DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN LOL. This is only here for any crazy people who are crazy enough to listen to my horrible voice for an entire hour. (I know who you are) (I talk about the above and also why I named the Pokemon those names, so I basically discuss all my fandoms/a whole bunch of friends then I discuss the fanfic below because I'm silly) (Yes it's a download because I don't really want it public and to embed it I'd have to public-it, which is stupid. :X)
Only if you dare!

Asmall fangirly-rant on a fanfiction I read a few days back: (Feel free to skip lol)
The best things come from where you least expect.
I just read the greatest fanfiction ever. And yeah, I admit I don't read fanfiction that much these days, but damn. I've never been in such awe, such a speechless state since...since never! And you know what the saddest thing about it is? I COULD recommend it to other people, but likely they would not read it. Why? Well the subject the fanfiction is of is not particularly popular and so the most tragic thing about this great amazing thing I discovered is that I can't realistically hope to share it among others.
What's even more tragic that such an amazing, incredible story has so few reviews. I can only hope this author has pride in the fact that she wrote something absolutely breathtaking, despite the lack of feedback. Alas.
Now I admit, the plot and such of the story may at first not seem all the interesting, but the summary gives tells you of the conflict that happens, and how every character reacts...how every character is portrayed is very much in character, and everything that happens is entertaining in so many different ways. The climax is definitely the climax, the sadder scenes pull at your heartstrings, yet at the same time give you a warm feeling of "awww" and just...so many emotions were felt. This is like when I read that great and awesome KazuSayo fanfiction, I never ever looked back since. Here it feels like a similar situation except even better the story is multi-chaptered and completed. RARELY do we see that nowadays...
Also the fanfiction deals with such things I rarely see in slash fanfiction, the whole taboo of their relationship is actually a plot point. 99% of all fanfiction is like "OH THEY'RE GAY OKAY LOLOLOL *goes on like life never changed*" and that isn't realistic at all, more like a vision of someone's hopelessly idealistic perfect world floating within their head.
I've done quite a bit of searching, with the exception of pixiv (and even THAT doesn't have much) this fandom is certainly not big at all. Barely any videos on nicovideo, 99% of everything on that section in ff.net is rrbxppg stuff (and here I thought I'd escape that in this fandom....IT'S EVEN MORE OF THE MAJORITY HERE!!) and I can't find any LJ communities aside from a dead one. So regarding all that I'm pretty surprised such a good fanfiction was found in the pit of BLACKNESS. (Of course there are other good fics but they aren't that long or multi-chaptered or epic.) There was a forum I did lurk back in the '07 days which may have been the biggest gathering of fans I knew. (And that blog I followed as well)
For example the author who wrote the bestest best best KazumixSayo fanfiction in the whole wide world also wrote a KaoruxMiyako, except it's like 10x shorter and not quite as epic. (It was a fluffy one-shot compared to a MYSTERY MURDER ROMANCE OMG) Also for some weird reason there are lots of Negima fans who like PPGZ...gee I wonder why. I can never tell if the fans are little girls or lolicons...and it is the same with plenty of other fandoms really. (Of course there are people like me as well, lol P: ) Well there are some things I like with obvious gender-bias. Starcraft is definitely for sure populated by the male population, Hetalia definitely by the female...and that's about all I know. Lol.
ANYWAY, let is move on from all this childish banter! Why doth Spotto speak of silly children games like Pokemon or silly children anime like PPGZ? What Spotto must talk about are adults things such as....such as...
You know, why don't I watch the stuff more suited to people my age? Or play the stuff? Okay sure Starcraft is somewhat violent with marines exploding in blood and whatnot, but that's just standard warfare play. What about the REALLY adult stuff, like Grand Theft Auto, horror games such as Resident Evil and what other things are rated M that I never actually play ever? The same with shows too! I mean Negima itself despite the large amount of fanservice is very light-hearted! Oh sure some people died, but it's just random side-characters who instead of dying in an EXPLOSION OF BLOOD disinitegrated into an EXPLOSION OF FEATHERS and apparently there is a way to BRING THEM ALL BACK! How idealistic!
Oh what about Hetalia? ISN'T IT ABOUT WAR? WAR IS NOT LIGHT-HEARTED! Well Hetalia certainly proves that wrong! Because most of the show doesn't even happen during war, but moreso about random tidbits of international relations! Once upon a time Japan locked himself in his house for hundreds of years, but then finally through massive reluctance came out and met Western people like America! And then all the fangirls turn it into massive ship wars and suddenly instead of the historical satire early fans came to know of it everyone in the world instead calls it "that anime with the gay countries" and even the DUB is trying to throw in some subtext that never was there in the first place! This is why I barely follow Hetalia anymore. It just got far too big that I couldn't keep up with THE EVERYTHING they throw out, and then I whine while I'm following my other fandoms how they have less fans and less stuff and it makes me sad.
And what is even MORE idealistic and light-hearted than that is that of PPGZ, where one of the main characters NEVER SHOW THE PARENTS but rather than saying "OH THEY'RE DEAD" they're just randomly living ON ANOTHER COUNTRY WITHOUT THEIR ONLY CHILD. And said only child must live with her single very old grandparent in a GIANT HOUSE that she has to take care of herself because her grandma is too old and LOOK AT ALL THAT RESPONSIBILITY THE LITTLE GIRL HAS EGADS oh she also goes to school and saves the world.
The funny thing about this? The stuff I watched as CHILD was more violent and less-light-hearted. I haven't watched, for example, South Park is in years. I just don't bother to turn on my TV, however when my brother still lived in this house every Friday we'd turn the channel to channel 57 and watch South Park. I was like eight. Now? We don't even HAVE channel 57. When I was a kid the movies I watched tended to be the really sad/rather mature movies of violence and stuff, but the last movie I've watched in the present? How to Train Your Dragon. The movie I want to watch the most? Toy Story 3.
Not INCEPTION or whatever is big at the box office now with the deep stories or pretty explosions of blood, no I want to watch Barbie and Ken. The trailer really made me want to see Barbie and Ken.
Yeah okay honestly I have no clue where I'm going with this anymore so...ENTRY END! P:
