Someone needs to remind me to rant on my LJ and not in the comments of other people's LJ's...xD.
I wrote all this as a response on something Shiroi wrote. xP:
Anyway, I don't think Neji's quotes are stupid, in fact only one or two felt misplaced. (And not the come one, either) Because it's really hard for the dubbing company to use words to match with how their mouth moves, because the movement of the mouth is originally supposed to match with Japanese, thus they used what they had in the English language. Also, it wasn't that bad.
However, I watched 60 and 61 in English on Youtube, and I do have one complaint.
IT WAS NOT NEJI'S VA THAT VOICED YOUNG NEJI!
I have experience with Neji's VA, AKA Enjyu, and Enjyu had the most ADORABLE little kid voice ever when there were flashbacks with him. And Enjyu's flashbacks are SAD, TOO.
Why did they use such an overused kid VA (that sounds a little too DEEP for a four year old) instead of Neji's AWESOME KIDDY VA?!?! It sounded so stupid! And instead of saying, "She's cute!" He said, "She's nice!" THAT TAKES OUT THE MOMENT AS WELL!
They BOTH FIT THE MOUTH MOVEMENTS TOO! I mean seriously, that dumb VA sounded so stupid saying, "FATHER!" And Enjyu, who's little kid flashbacks also involved a FATHER GREATLY, did his job BEAUTIFULLY. Hinata voices her own little kid voice!!
If this happens with Sasuke with such a dumb voice like that, I'll scream, as much as I don't like Sasuke, he definitely does not deserve a retarded cliche american kiddy voice like Neji did. THAT IS A CLEAR OUTRAGE!!!
Seriously, I am glad I watch the sub. I only watch the dub to check out how my favourite VA's are doing and they DENIED the POTENTIALLY CUTE NEJI VOICE and replaced it with all the LITTLE KID VOICES YOU HEAR IN EVERY SINGLE DISNEY MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry I ranted in your comments. Good day to you.

One more thing, if someone punched you while you were explaining how horrible your past was, you'd be pissed off. Seriously, the whole POINT of explaining is to tell them WHY you are acting like a suck-up prick. Besides, it is a VERY DIRTY TRICK to be hitting someone while they recount their bad memories. It would be CHEAP! I for one like explaining my actions so they don't think I'm being a complete moron for no reason like Neji's doing. I mean it's perfectly legal, but I believe in honour on the battlefield, which is like honour in checkers. If your opponent was talking to you about how Bob got his head stuck down the toilet, you would not do a double jump to eat his pieces while he's telling you that, you would do it when he was LOOKING AT THE GAME. Because that would be VERY RUDE. I play cards with my friends a lot, and we sometimes talk about other things, but we don't play the card while we're talking, perhaps we do but then we STOP TALKING.
But Naruto is not a person who would run and punch Neji while he tells him that his dad died, that's just plain mean. Neji probably wouldn't do the same even if he was a prick.
I mean you certainly do have a point, but nothing will ever be explained and the whole show would be PURE ACTION (AKA DBZ) without knowing why someone's like that.
It's called character development my friend.
Sorry again. >> Just opinions.

Sorry once again.
Naruto just got all 64 of his chakra holes closed, so attacking would be pretty stupid too. Besides, the time used while Neji is talking couldallow Naruto to THINK of a plan and defeat him, sort of like how Shino sounded completely arrogant at Zaku in the preliminaries, but it was merely a distraction, well this situation is similar but perhaps reversed. And, Neji has like, ABSOLUTE DEFENSE and 360degrees vision, so when you're badly injured and can barely stand, I think it is WISE, to try to heal standing there while hearing how crappy and emo-y your opponent's life is.
It is AFTER all this does Naruto's kyuubi chakra finally get in, when he becomes super angry. And BTW, Naruto TECHNICALLY, in a WAY, NEVER beat Neji, kyuubi did. Naruto should've lost there and then, but only stood up because of the kyuubi chakra. Also, Neji was being an arrogant bastard, so he wasn't doing his best while against Naruto, since fate is awesome and in his favour in this match.
Then he gets paralyzed in one hit in the jaw, which teaches him the lesson, leads to the Kidoumaru-spiderman fight where every Neji fangirl jumps around screaming and suddenly less people HATE Neji because they disliked his prickness of people (you are obviously not one of these people, as I think you like him both ways).
So not ONLY is it character development, it moves the story along, it is good for you Neji fangirls. For all I care Neji is overpowered, he just gets bad matches for him because people constantly have miracles to prevent them from losing to the 64 palms (Naruto's kyuubi and Kidoumaru's icky golden armour he made from sweat)
Neji fans should be happy, VERY HAPPY. And I being a semi-Neji fan since I am also half with Shino, am satisified, for now. Obviously we all know Neji (and seriously Shino) needs more manga time in the current manga arc.
Oh, another thing I hated about the dub (or in general, basically) was that Tenten would not shut up. I understand she was explaining Neji's skill but she wasn't even TALKING to anyone, except the screen, and that breaks the fourth wall. I mean if you're going to explain Neji's techniques, at least explain it to someone there and not DIRECTLY at the viewers on TV. That and I despise NejiTen (almost as much as ReiMao!) and Tenten's voice was annoying.
I am SO SORRY again. ><
MY BIRTHDAY PARTY IS ON THE 15TH! HOORAH! HOORAH! Oh, I started a VERY SLOW MOVING LF fanfic a few days ago. I figure I should write its plot and details or I'll forget here:

MY BIRTHDAY PARTY IS ON THE 15TH! HOORAH! HOORAH! Oh, I started a VERY SLOW MOVING LF fanfic a few days ago. I figure I should write its plot and details or I'll forget here:
It's a Henry and Rudolf friendship story, which is NOT shounen-ai, but you can think like it is cute fluff or something, but it isn't, but I won't stop people from thinking it, though nobody would READ it...
Henry has no idea who his parents are, at all. The only "parent-like" person he remembers is someone who raised him until he was three, then such a person disappeared.
This person, which would be revealed much later in the story, was actually Firzen.
Henry, after those three years, is put in an orphanage, which for some reason closed down, and NOBODY cared for the kids, all the kiddies died or something, except Henry because Firzen taught him a few survival skills.
Henry lives alone until he is 6, when a storm wipes out his tiny house and he falls unconscious in the street. During this time, before he falls unconscious he sees an ICE WOLF, which is really just a ball of light blue energy shaped like a wolf. It is actually one half of Firzen flying away somewhere. (Freeze) So on this night of the storm, something important happened.
The storm represents what happens to Louis's father, whom is killed by lightning. It is tradition in the clan of Louis, that whatever kills the current leader unless it was old age or something, the heir must take up what killed him, in this case lightning. (If the leader was murdered, then the heir must avenge the leader by killing the murderer, for example) This is the day, Louis, aged seven, gains his lightning.
The next morning, Rudolf sees a giant phoenix in the sky, it is Firen, and it's just a ball of red energy shaped like a phoenix. Flying off somewhere.
Then something in the morning:
Rudolf's older brother, yet to be named, finds Henry unconscious and takes him back to the Rudolf residence.
Rudolf is a VERY HAPPY CAREFREE KID. Henry is one year younger than Rudolf. Rudolf is 7, Henry is 6.
Eventually, Rudolf's family keeps Henry, and after many attempts in teaching him to become a ninja, it just NEVER works. Henry secretly takes up archery, which is forbidden (to take up a different art) then 5 years later, SOMETHING DEVASTATING HAPPENS.
Rudolf's family is KILLED, Rudolf and Henry escape while Rudolf listens to his brother's last words in his dying moments.
2 years have passed since then. Rudolf and Henry only have each other left (yes, you may think OMG YAOI now but this is FRIENDSHIP, remember that) and they have since then settled in a new village. WIthin this village, the chief decides that the village needed more young potential and gathered all the young talent he could find. He eventually finds like 16 people, half of them not very important. And puts them into teams of 4 so they will learn teamwork.
Rudolf and Henry are put on a team with other weapon users, for the chief believed that would be the most effective. So they are teamed up with Deep and John.
The other significant team is the Davis, Woody, Dennis, and Louis team. The other teams are random new LFO characters that I don't care for. (Firen and Freeze don't appear yet) To test how well the younger potential was, the chief decided on a tournament to happen one month after the team is formed. During the month, the team will be give many tasks to they can train their teamwork and skills.
During this month, Deep thinks Henry is weak (and he is actually the weakest on his team in terms of strength), who has a 'gay' (yes he says gay) fighting style. Deep uses all his power and attacks head on, and he calls Henry's method cowardly, since it involves running away and attacking from the distance. This irks Henry a lot. (Henry is my 'annoying main stereotypical character here') Rudolf is the fastest in the team, Deep is the strongest, and John is the smartest. This leaves Henry out, (so enter low-confidence part here) Rudolf assures Henry to prove him wrong in battle.
Deep actually respects Rudolf more than anyone else, because Rudolf uses swords and is the second strongest in the team. (Rudolf was also assigned as the team leader) This irks Henry more. John's character development comes later, xD. But his role at this point is pretty generic.
During one of their tasks, Rudolf and Henry bump into Louis, who challenges them to a fight. The fight was originally Louis Vs. Henry, but Louis had a VERY LARGE advantage to Henry. So it became Rudolf and Henry vs. Louis.
At this time, Louis explains the long lost 'palms' aka his phoenix palm. He has mastered such a difficult skill so well that he can send the shockwave out with only one hand and can do both hands simuntaeously. Henry also has a weaker-like palm which he hasn't really named yet. Louis says that the palms can only be used by three groups, the shaolin monks who developed the tactic through generations of work, so it was artificial. Louis's clan, which calls their form of the palm, "Phoenix", and the Dragon clan, which Davis resides in. Davis explains that unlike the Phoenix clan (Louis's clan), only certain membrs of his clan can do the palm. Members in the Dragon clan each have one specialty that has something to do with a dragon. For Davis it is his mastery of the dragon fist, which is the hardest skill to obtain, and knowing that move gives you the highest status in the clan besides the leader. (Who cares if this sounds like Naruto, it was inspired by it) They also had the dragon palm, which only one member of each generation can obtain. It is then confirmed that nobody in Davis's generation has it yet, meaning Henry, who is in similar age of Davis, must be the 'lost' user of the dragon palm.
This means Henry is actually some sort of relative of Davis. Turns out he's like a cousin, a distant one but still in the same generation. Still, whoever Henry's parents were, were never known. There was a legend of one of the clanmembers who wandered off as a young child and never returned.
Even though Henry was the user of the dragon palm, he wasn't very good at it. Louis's armour prevented EVERY ATTACK from Henry to be ineffective. (at this time he did not have a flute or knew critical shot) When Rudolf tried to help, the lightning was conducted by his swords and make Louis even STRONGER. In the end, Louis uses his strongest thunder punch on Rudolf, smashing his whole fist through Rudolf's shoulder. Louis never finishes them off, and runs off because he was simply toying with them. This makes Henry feel guilty because he felt it was his fault that Rudolf was heavily injured, although not fatal. Because Henry wasn't STRONG.
Now Henry's least favourite word was strength. There was speed and smarts too, Henry wanted to know if there was another way to win without being...so strong.
(Yes, he is heavily flawed, I like it that way0
DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT!!! Davis's and Rudolf's team both get into the quarter finals, meaning the other teams sucked and lost to them. The matches were as shown:
Round One was John Vs. Davis
Round Two was Louis Vs. Dennis
Round Three was Henry Vs. Deep
Round Four was Woody Vs. Rudolf.
In the John and Davis fight, Davis is shown to be a cocky bastard because he was praised in his clan and everybody thought he was great, and HE IS, but because of that he became incredibly cocky. He didn't respect nor care for Henry very much, but he didn't despise him either, so he held no grudge. He just wanted everybody to know what he was the best, and would win this fight. This angered John very much. John's life was through (OMGGASP) a lot of hard work and his BRAIN. It was his most precious organ next to his heart (isn't everybody's?) Without his talented smarts he wouldn't be this far in the fighting life. Davis dismissed the needs of strategy as unnecessary and went event further to say that "The best defence is the best offence" offending John's style of play.
Davis ended up with the bragging rights though, as he did win. But he sustained significant injuries, which annoyed him.
In the Louis and Dennis fight, Dennis, the younger sibling of Davis, had not found his 'dragon skill' yet and still used basic moves and techniques. He wanted to prove to Davis that he didn't need the clan's special attacks to be good. They were relying on them way too much. So he decided to test that in the battle versus his teammate, Louis. Louis was known to be arrogant and it annoyed Dennis a lot. Two big clan guys always annoyed him as they bragged about how good they were at their clan's skills. In this fight Dennis used the most amazing kick attacks one had ever seen, but DAVIS wasn't even there to watch him. Davis thought training for the next round would be better than to watch his younger brother, so Dennis, extremely annoyed was determined to meet Davis in the finals and show him.
Too bad he lost.
Dennis and John both met in the medical room, where John, who was intelligent mind you, encouraged Dennis a lot. John knew what it felt like to be in Dennis's position and the two became good friends. However, we care about the matches so back to them.
Henry vs. Deep, Deep KNEW he was going to win, because of his opinions on Henry's style and everything. Also, they were both weaknesses of each other, so they cancelled each other out. The battle was intense, and Deep was surprised at the outburst of Henry, why? Because Henry trained hard, and had the encouragement of Rudolf, his best friend *cough*, who cheered for him at the stands. This made Deep mad that Rudolf could ever think that Henry, a weakling, could ever defeat him. This battle was extremely long and drawn out, but in the end, Henry decided that he wasn't the smartest, or the fastest and he knew he was the weakest in the team. He accepted his flaws and moved on, but that didn't mean he'd give up fighting. Henry decided to practice the religion of "never giving up" also his aim substantially improved, very much so.
Deep lost, just barely in the end, and they both suffered heavy injuries.
That was when Rudolf said, "Okay, so I'm the fastest, John's the smartest, and Deep's the strongest, but now we know what Henry is. Henry has the best aim, the best will, and the most stamina. I think that beats speed or smarts or strength ANY day." Voila, boost of confidence for Henry.
Rudolf battled Woody next. Woody, was, in a similar fashion, the best friend of Davis, however Davis got on his nerves because he was so damned cocky. So Woody also wanted to defeat him to shut him up once and for all, and if he won this match he'd be playing Davis. Rudolf would not go down easily, though. Rudolf promised Henry he'd be in the finals, battling Henry. While Henry at that time said, "But you're like 99x stronger than me!!!" Rudolf still wanted to play him. He felt that would be the best match ever. One more thing, Rudolf has never in his life broken a promise to Henry, and visa versa. The battle dragged on, both wanting to fight their best companion and rival, but only one would move on. This fight hasn't been developed fully yet, but RUDOLF WINS!
Now the matches were settled, Davis Vs. Rudolf and Henry Vs. Louis!
The Davis Vs. Rudolf match was first, meaning Rudolf was incredibly tired and injured from his match JUST before, but Davis played the first round, so Davis had the most rest. In the end Rudolf wins. (barely)
Henry Vs. Louis is a little different, because Henry still can't do anything to Louis, not to mention Rudolf wasn't there because he was being treated from a near-death experience from fighting Davis. So Henry wasn't exactly confident either, until Deep yelled furiously at him, "Jesus Christ, you kept yabbering about how you'll win and now you're going to make my loss be in vain to some dumbass in a bunch of tin cans?! WIN FOR MY SAKE DAMNIT!!!" Which oddly enough propelled Henry's confidence. Until Louis bursted ouf of his armour and became even FASTER than Rudolf. Henry was almost dead, then Rudolf who ran there with a CRUTCH *he was searching for John to heal him but couldn't find him* and almost became permanently disabled yelled at Henry.
And of course this being a dumb friendship story, Henry got up with a smile, and then his ears turned pointy. While POWER ranged all around him. (INSERTKYUUBILIKELOLLERSKATESSTUFFHERE) Apparently, the missing child of the Dragon clan left and lived without knowing his origins and married an elf woman. But where these two people are, is unknown. So Henry is half ELF, which propells his power much like Louis'sEX form, and was like a "TAKE THIS!!!" back at Louis for being so braggy about his skills only HE is able to learn but here is Henry with freakish elfy powers.
BOOM, down goes Louis.
And thus we now have...Rudolf Vs. Henry.
All for now.
YES IT IS SIMILAR TO NARUTO, if you want a crude comparison, Henry = Naruto, Rudolf = Sasuke, Louis = Itachi (>>), Davis = Neji, Dennis = Hinata (yes that is funny), John = ROCK LEE (XD), Woody = Uh, Hanabi (XDDD), Deep = ORIGINAL (WOOT). But it's VERY VERY CRUDE because Louis does not = Rudolf's brother and he did not kill Rudolf's family, and Rudolf does not abandon Henry (like Sasuke did) and Henry is weak and has low confidence unless someone else encourages him, and Dennis, does not feel he needs to be better because of Henry, but because of John, and uh, the Hanabi one was kind of stupid. Lol. Yes, this comparison was just for fun, it HAS NO MEANING. Meaning that this story is also NOT SIMILAR to Naruto, despite being inspired by it. Also, Henry loses that match with Rudolf, xD.
Henry has no idea who his parents are, at all. The only "parent-like" person he remembers is someone who raised him until he was three, then such a person disappeared.

That is all.
