Three pieces of Negima NEWS!
SCOOP!
Three OVAs of Negima are being produced by SHAFT and the OVAs are focused on the "White Wing" arc of the manga! That's where they created the club, Anya comes, stuff like that! (around chapter 180 or so)
PLUS, there will be thirty seconds promo of a MAGIC WORLD arc animation! I don't know if it will become an anime about it or something but if this is all true, which it should be since it is announced in Akamatsu's blog and ANN...CHIBI KAZUMI AND THE SAYO DOLL ARE GOING TO BE ANIMOOTED!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course I was not pleased with SHAFT's Negima!? design for Kazumi, maybe she'll look better this time around! WE CAN ONLY HOPE.
Second piece!
The LIVE ACTION IS NOT OVER YET! They will have one episode on DVD (episode 26), coming on sometime later! WHICH MEANS MORE MAI NISHIDA! SHE'S NOT GONE YET! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!! MAYBE IT'LL BE A BETTER ENDING THAN EPISODE 25!!!!
Sayoness to the EXTREME! Rawr!
Third piece!
I HAVE THE 31'S LOVE ALBUM! MEANING STARRY AND STUFF! Most of the songs sucked though, but my favourite among the fourteen or so songs is Loooooooooooop!!! (or how many o's there are) by the Baka Rangers. I also like "Be Yourself" by Asuna, "Starry" by Kazumi n' Sayo (Duh), Boku Tachi no Kizuna by the Sports Quintet (but I liked the Live Performance better...), and that is all. XD
I think I shall review all the songs! Alrighty, in order except Starry is last because I said so!
"Be Yourself" by Asuna:
This is a really good song. The tune, the flow, everything. Probably one of the best in the LA because a lot of the LA songs aren't that good.
Asuna's singing though, is decent. It's not the best it could be, but she sings the song well enough for it to sound good. She won't become like a star singer that's for sure, but oh well. It wasn't stuck at high notes or anything, stayed pretty linear the whole way, which isn't a bad thing at all. Sometimes the traditional is good. The song itself is wonderful. I usually don't like Asuna songs (Except the opening to the Haru OVA, that was awesome)
It's catchy, something I'd remember for sure. Love this song.
Rating: 4.5/5
"Kokoro Niju So" by Konoka and Setsuna:
The song started off well. I found myself liking the tune to the verse, and the singing was okay. (They sounded the same kinda, it was a little hard to differentiate) Then it got even better, and I really liked it (didn't sound like a Konosetsu-ish song though) But then came the chorus and I was like WTF. I didn't like the chorus very much. They stayed up at the high notes too long, and as I've said before, didn't feel Konosetsu-ish.
Funny thing is the best KonoSetsu song personally is Seinaru, which has some parts ripped off from another song. "Never Give Up!" sounded very generic (not the mention the retarded stacking moves)
Oh well. Poor Konosetsu fans...or not. >P
Rating: 3.5/5
"Baby Love?" by Chisame
More like Chiu. -_- . I would like to note that she kind of sounds like THE VERY SHORT Yumi Shimura singing at times. I liked the introduction music, and she was singing pretty well at the chorus. The thing is it's not a tune that would get stuck in my head (and not in an annoying way) I mean it does sound pretty good, I guess I'm not just fond of the music. The instruments for "Girls be Ambitious" sucked, but the tune was good. So yeah, same here. It's also kind of generic...I wonder why Chisame got a solo but Ayaka didn't. Maybe Ayaka can't sing. AND WHY IS THIS OVER FIVE MINUTES LONG!? Songs that are too long make the song boring far into it unless there's interesting stuff in the song and it's not constantly repetitive.
Rating: 4/5
"Tomodachi Note#" - Library Girls
I liked the tune here, however it was a rather repetitive song. Yue's LA actress has a lovely singing voice. I guess the repetitiveness can be forgiven since it isn't that long. (Poor Library girls) I want to hear more Yue damnit. Yue needs more solos in this song. XD. Haruna has an alright cutish generic voice and Nodoka sounds slightly cuter, but they don't have the cool lovely singing voice Yue has. Think Junko Minagawa as Ayaka singing. (But that as good, obviously. It still was nice)
Rating: 4/5
"Shi a Wase Saga Shi" - Ayaka, Natsumi, Chizuru
This song had a bunch of English words in it, like "I wanna gimme gimme gimme". It was kind of weird. I was wondering how a song could portray all three of these characters. I mean in everywhere else, Ayaka usually solos with herself, so. Anyway, the tune wasn't bad, and the song length was average. I just don't understand this song. Kind of weird. XD The repeat a lot of words in the song too. The song wasn't bad though...I just don't get it. It's not great, I guess. Also I cannot tell who is singing where, they all sound the same. XD
Rating: 3.5/5
"Never Ever" - Evangeline, Chachamaru
Ah, these two. Of course I expected that the song should sound badass (unless you go to the "JAPAN CULTURE YAY" approach SHAFT did...XD) I liked the very beginning when they started singing, but the verses sounded empty. Then the chorus came which sounded like the very beginning....so it was kind of repetitive. Then it calmed down at the intermission, which was kind of weird. The instruments with the guitar riff and stuff tried to make it sound badass, but it didn't really sound as badass as it could've. (Maze of the Dark was more, with Sayo, no less) I also can't tell who's singing which parts, XD. Oh well.
Rating: 3.5/5
"Kitsu to Doku Tsuto" - Walking Club
The very beginning instrumental made me think "why, this song fits Eva and Chachamaru better, XD" and then suddenly the start singing something kiddy-ish sounding, which is appropriate for Kaede and the twins, but wow I didn't expect that. XD I like the tune, but I'm not much for happy dappy songs. I really liked Kaede's singing though, it was cool. Kinda of like Yue in Tomodachi Note#. And when it went back into instrumental for little bit, it sounds like it fit Eva and Chacha AGAIN and then a peppy guitar riff came in and brought the mood back to kiddish. Wow. The song is kind of short though, but that's okay.
Rating: 3.5/5
"Sekai no Hana o Sakase Masho" - Nikuman (Chao, Satsuki, Hakase)
I loved this song on Youtube mostly because of the awesome dancing. The singing is alright though. I really expected Chao to sound much cooler, but it sounds kind of "meh" in the song. I'm not fond of Satsuki's voice, it was too lowish...but Hakase sounded fine. It was a Chinese-sounding song, and the tune was good, but only Chao is Chinese! So it's kind of unfair to the others, no? (even though few care about the characters Satsuki and Hakase, >>;) Also, repetitive. Gah. How about a bridge or something instead of VERSE CHORUS VERSE CHORUS part of CHORUS CHORUS...oh well.
Rating: 3.5/5
"Start!Start!Start!" - Dekopin Rocket
When I first heard this song, I really REALLY liked the beginning and verses. Instrumental was awesome, and everything, but then suddenly...everything fell apart...at the chorus. (So many songs dying at the chorus, sadness) They just kept going with the same tune and then ending it abruptly with something that would bring the vocals down, making it sound like they were singing high pitched for too long. I did however, like Ako's singing here. She was good. Everybody else wasn't as good. I could tell the difference between voices though. Ako was basically the lowest kinda, then Sakurako, then Madoka, then Misa was like oddly cute and high and annoying, >>; Yeah.
Rating: 3/5
"Tai Yo to Tsuki no Destiny" - Zazie et Mana
The song has tune, true, but for some reason I never got to like the song. Perhaps because it was repetitive (a great number of songs here are). Perhaps because they tried to duplicate the "badassery" in Joker!? (but failed). It was kind of boring to listen to. Thank god it didn't go for more than four minutes, but still. Even the instruments were generic sounding. It's too damned repetitive. Really, really, really repetitive. Ah well.
Rating: 2.5/5
"Looooop!!!!!" - Baka Rangers
YAY! I love Looooop!!!!! Especially after the two previous songs were mediocre. It has Yue singing, which is good. Kaede singing, which is good. I find myself SINGING to this song too! It's really really catchy! Asuna sings in good songs apparently, hahaha. So I guess Asuna being in this song is good too. It was a happy-ish song, and catchy, as I've said before. I love the chorus. That ONE line where a girl is emphasizing some word that starts with W. It REALLY sounds good. I don't know why I like this song. XD But if I even sing to it, it must be good. It's not really long though, maybe the shortest song in the album, but I guess that's good. Since it might have gotten very repetitive if that was the case. XD This song will cheer me up. 8D

"Boku Tachi no Kizuna" - Sports Quintet
This is like the nikuman song, where I loved the Youtube version for the awesome dancing. (I saw a bit more in the LA credits, the dancing looked SICK.) But for some reason the recorded version was a tad different. In the video, there was a beginning part with a short and quiet-ish but awesome sounding instrumental, then they start singing. Here they just start singing from the beginning, oh well. I enjoyed the tune very much though (but my constant listening of it on Youtube kind of downplayed the WOW factor of this song. Oh well. XD) I love it when Misora and Akira sing together in the song, because otherwise their voices are drowned out by Ako and Makie (their voices are loud and deep-ish, XD) Yuuna also gets drowned out, but I hear her less for some reason. The ending was abrupt, though.
Rating: 4.25/5
"Starry" by Kazumi and Sayo
Hmmm. I love the instruments in this song. Did I hear a triangle or a zylophone? I like those kind of instruments. It starts off with both of them singing and then Kazumi goes on with a rather long solo. Kazumi's a pretty good singer. Then Sayo comes in with her sexy voice in that one little line, which blew me away. There's a bit too much emphasis on the main "tune" of the song though. A tad repetitive in that sense. When Sayo gets to her long Sayo, it doesn't sound as GREAT as that one line, but she still sounds pretty good. Kazumi singing that ONE line in Sayo's solo doesn't sound as good as compared to Sayo though. At first I complained that it went into the intermission rather abruptly, but I think I've gotten used to it. There's also bridges so it wasn't too repetitive. Then at the end they go "LALALALALA" or something. Lol. The ending part was good too...I like this song yes, however I did have higher expectations and got a little disappointed.

Yes, and that is all. BTW, Chapter 33 and 34 are almost done of HFF. I wonder if Aoi-dono has read 32 yet.
That be ALL!
Animooted Sayo doll come in October, D: , animooted Chibi Kazumi probably comes late next year in 2009. -___-;;
