First Days...

Sigh, school is back. Not that I'm complaining, school is nessessary,
but there's this little problem with school, well a lot more than that.
Firstly, you have to start going to bed early and waking up early again. Not helping because I spent the last month of summer going to bed at 6AM!! So I couldn't really fall asleep that well at night, it's hard, and when you wake up after finally falling asleep at 2am at 7am, you're all groggy and have an extremely hard time getting up. Of course, coffee might help, but I find it disgusting...
Then, the actual school. So I have to start walking all day in a new backpack (I WANTED THOSE STRAPPY ONES, you know, ONE strap backpacks? I think they'd be better since they seem more easier to carry, all loose and stuff) But my parents were nagging on this one, which I admit is cool and big and nice (and more expensive, they take quality more seriously than other Asians, and the price doesn't bother them) but one strap was going to be better since it went diagonally, so rather than your shoulder doing all the work, your whole BACK does and it's EASIER!!!
Ok, I get to school, we get our timetables, and I look and say: "Dunno him, heard of her, everybody likes this one, dunno her, I had him last year, OMFG!!!! AAAHHH!!!, had him last year too, and I dunno her"
So if you want to know what I was referring to, here's my timetable:
8:30-8:44AM: Some sort of before school time.
8:44AM-10AM: A block - Science. The teacher is tough with an attitude, I suspect lots of homework and laughter, but sometimes that's not a good combination, o-o
10:00-10:15: Break, about 15 minutes of doing nothing basically.
10:15-10:35: Silent Reading, yeah...
10:35-11:50: B Block - P.E, I am very happy that my teacher doesn't believe in the almost 1 mile lap before playing the sport thing that my last teacher did. (Ran and died every two days!)
11:50-12:35: Lunchtime, a time to eat and do nothing, weee!
11:35-1:50PM: C Block Math, the teacher is that nice Japanese teacher that gives a lot of parties, my first decent Math teacher, yaaaaay!
1:55-3:10PM: D Block Planning, some sort of class to know what you want to do when you grow up and stuff, they killed one of our electives with this, I would've been able to take Drama if not this :(
That's just day one, on day two, I got Graphics first thing in the morning, English (the reeeally meeeeeen toooough booooring teeeeeeacher...I'm gonna die) S.S (pretty interesting....kinda) and finally French (I hate ALL language classes)
Anyway, the problem is, 5 of my blocks I'm alone, because I chose different electives. Half fo ymf riends chose cooking, I don't give a damn about the stove and took graphics, my best friend took graphics too and we managed to share one block, but only one. I took French, most of them took Japanese (I want Japanese, not French, I just have to take French because you need 5 years of language to get into University and Japanese only gives 4)
Secondly, since my choices were of a different combination from others, I see way too many people I hate in the same classroom as me, and so I don't like it at all. Only 3 nonlonely classes, Gym, Graphics and SS (which have automatically become my favourite subjects because the teachers were great too)
Anyway, now I just have to survive for another 10 months, or 9, since we start on the 6th, we got two weeks of winter vacation, 1 week of spring vacation, and the random days of the month we get off of, plus those one day holidays, AND the weekends...
So about 8 weekends per month, there's Thanksgiving, Rememberance Day, EasterX2, Good Friday, Victoria day, school's out on the 9th if you're not counting the exams, if you are, then the 29th.
2 weeks of winter, 1 week of spring break, plus the one pro-day a month...
That concludes to...
10X30=300 days. 10X4=40 weeks.
3 weeks cut off, that means 37 weeks.
8 weekends round to one week each month. So 10 weeks. 37-10=27 weeks
One day holidays = 1 week
26 weeks, and finally, the pro-d days, 10 days round to one week.
School is 25 weeks long. Furthermore, Spot has Chinese School, 4 times a month for 10 months, that's 40 days, round to 42 = 6 weeks,
Spot has 31 weeks of school.
A YEAR has 52 weeks, so to average people, they spend half of the year in school, WITHOUT COUNTING THE 6 hours a day school, and not the whole 24 hours, which I won't go to because that's too much math. But to me, more than a half in school. Of course, my free days are on Sunday...
Bleh, I wonder why I did that...
Anyway, in other non-life related news, Soldat's been fine, I like the deagles again but I still use Ruger, I like normal guns not autos or snipers, ah well...
As for LF1/LF2/LFO news, my favourite's still Henry...
Oh, by the way, Harry Potter grew his air out in the movie, now his hair is as long as LFO John's, WHICH IS NOT GOOD OR A VERY PECULIAR COINCIDENCE...maybe he likes that game, XD
Goblet of Fire is coming out sometime in November (17 or 16 I think), Narnia is coming out in December 9, anything else I don't care.
I'm very sleepy, goodbye.

Date: 2005-09-09 03:14 am (UTC)One strap like, it sits at your hip? Or one strap backpack where it still is on your back, but is diagonal or whatever?
You have a weird timetable. o.O
But I bet you'd think that mine is weird then.
I'd take Japanese anyway, then take some other year of another language.
Math. Wah. *is still in math mode*
xD Daniel Radcliffe would look weird with long hair.
Goblet of Fire? It's not out there yet? o.O;;;
BSB rawks. ;D

A one strap backpack that's still behind you and goes diagonally.
Shiroi is in the lonely school club...we should all move to New Hampshire and join Lefty in Grade 11, fail, and spend the rest of our lives wandering the West...
That was rather random...

Date: 2005-09-16 01:42 am (UTC)Dont you hate that? How school ALWAYS manages to find a way to stop you from doing what you want to do. It's like a conspiracy that your electives never work out the way you want them too. >__< I've been 'informed' by one of my teachers that because i'm doing two arts subjects and two humanities they will clash because the sciences obviously take priority over everything else.
So i've come to the conclusion that being able to 'choose' your subjects is just and illusion and that you always have to do what the school wants you to do anyway.

(Useless Fact: Einstein wrote to the President four years before Hiroshima and Nagasaki, expressing his fears that somebody with a complete and total lack of morals would use atomic fission to create a superweapon.)
