No, not Shaman King. It's just a cool warcry from a Korean dub. It's like, grab a gun and run into battle going, "YOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!"

Oh yeah, let me be the first to say I have a new policy, with this post being its exception, I will NOT post unless I get at least one comment on the LJ post, since I thought I could get some comments by commenting other people (You know, don't just recieve, also give! That kinda worked except they replied to my 1 line post rather than my 200 line post) That or maybe I post waaaay too long things and people just lost interest because of its length (which pisses me off, 80% of all my posts are really long) Well, that can't be true because I could post something that's about 4000 words about Naruto or something and I'd get some 500 comments, but if I post 2000 words and only 500 of it is Soldat, LF2, Hockey, or battle B Daman, i don't get a comment at all. It's not quality or quantity, it's the thing you write and how popular it is.

Which also pisses me off, =P The exact reason why I left LJ, so at the moment I'm not recieving answers but I'm not going to give up on you LJ buddies yet. But I'm not going to post 8 commentless LJ posts in a row, you know. I mean, there's a problem with me finding friends who like the same things as me, Beyblade was the only real successful thing, Soldat doesn't bring people coming to read here even if I do make friends, and the rest is a lost cause.

It's hard to convert people at all, and I have never really done that in my life, so in terms of converting people, I am a failure at that, lol.

Otherwise, what should I start with? News that'll make you uninterested and not comment, or news that will make you uninterested and not comment? 75% of things I write on LJ are things I like and only me, so it's another lost cause and disappointment. Well, guess I'll start with the bigger one.

Today's hockey game was utterly horrible, not only did the Colorado Avalanche beat us 6-2, or boo Bertuzzi after 4 games and 2 years, so far this season we have only won once in the 4 times we fought them this season. They also are the only team that beat us at home game. The Colorado Avalanche has really bad fans, but I can't get biased, so do the Canucks. We are doing fairly well by being top in our division, but a lot of it has to do with plain luck. Our goalies are average, while most of the teams we went against had great goalies or above average goalies where we had to do near-impossible things to score against them, some we couldn't score against at all.

The thing is, teams such as Chicago, or Columbus, which are not really great teams and have been owned badly by not just great teams (ie: Ottawa) but also average teams, we have beaten them but not by going pass even 4 goals and leading them more than 2 goals. We run out of gas in the 3rd period and give the game away or are asleep in the first and then start trying when it's too late, our defense collapses too often and our starting goalie is injury prone. And then you find out we're the only team out there that beat Detroit, a tied at first of the league with Ottawa TWICE and Detroit only has 3 losses? Well, Detroit went against a lot of not so great teams such as Columbus, Chicago, Blues, etc.

Yet when we face big rivalries, such as Calgary and Minnesota, most of the time we pummel, fall face first into the ground and hope our goalie had a great day so he can catch all of our mistakes. Well, guess what? Calgary, Minnesota, and Colorado all have great or above average goalies (In Calgary's case, VERY great goalie), while we have the decent ones, either a small but experienced one or a big newer one. From what I've seen of Calgary, they can score, but they're main reason why they almost got first in our division is because of Kiprusoff, a goalie that can turn into a giant titanium shield that covers the whole net. Us Canucks get so many chances on so many and we would've had about 30 goals each player in our team if their goalies were just like ours, but no.

And it's not only goalies, some times they don't have great goalies, have great defense, they prevent teams from even getting near the net, block shots from it reaching the goalie. Sure we have that, we got Sami Salo, Trevor Linden (thank god), we wouldn't BE in the top if it weren't for these guys, but they can only do so much. They aren't goalies, and if they to be dressed as one, they would be even worse than our goalies because they are defensemen, not goalies. Dan Cloutier is not a goalie that'll turn into a titanium wall. A bad goalie would be a straw house, an average would be a wooden house, a solid goalie would be a brick house and a GREAT goalie would be a titanium shield. Alex Auld is a backup goalie, he is supposed to be a wooden house, but sometimes he turns into a brick house and everybody all runs to this goalie, thinking Cloutier became a straw house and called Auld a god.

But Auld is not god, Auld is not a huge titanium shield that has the ability to block almost everything people shoot at. Auld is a wooden house, and with too much pressure or too much starting times, since Cloutier's wooden house keeps falling down, Auld fell into straw category in today's game. We, the fans are an earthquake, and if Auld is on too much, his house will be overused and he'd grow weak, get a mortage and eventually move into the basement of a straw house for rent (My god, I love comparing all these goalies this way, lol) Last game vs. phoenix, Curtis Joseph became a titanium shield, and us,  the earthquake grows stronger. Cloutier's wooden stance is now being repaired by the carpenters, and Cloots should be back next game. Sometimes these two goalies become a brick house, but it'll be long until we find a goalie that can become a titanium shield.

Our solution is not to trade (which would be nice if it did happen, I mean I do like Luongo and want him here, Luongo is really just an overusted titanium shield, lol)  or switch Auld into starter or  train these guys like hell. The Canucks were phonomenal in the 2nd period against the Coyotes last game, whenever they got a penalty instead of defending like a usual penalty kill, they charged at the net, despite it was being protected by a giant titanium shield. That was the best effort I have ever seen by this team, and if they played like that all the time, they'd almost be as good as the Ottawa Senators! They'd become a real playoff deserving team. That's why even if the Canucks did lose, it still felt like a great game. It paid off too, Carter eventually found a hole in the titanium shield and attacked it, gaining a goal, too bad Cujo learned from that and filled the hole up.

We need to boost our confidence, but never overdo it. When we do that, it's when we take a break in the 3rd period and clear pucks constantly instead of gaining more insurance. Once we did that on Colorado, and they scored 3 goals in 5 minutes almost  tying it with us. Luckily we woke up and made an empty netter, eventually resulting in a 6-4. But after that game, Colorado pounded us and we haven't beat them since. We have never so far in this season dominated any game. Whereas the Senators probably made an 8-0, we'd make a 3-2.  I'm not saying not hammering teams is bad, but it'd be nice, and it would be better for this team's efforts. Also, the Canucks only went as far as overtime, never have I seen us on a shootout so far this season. (And I don't believe they have won an overtime, either). Only teams that have effort throughout all 3 periods would rock in overtime or shootout.

So yeah, good luck to Cloutier and the rest of the 'Nucks on Wednesday versus the Colorado Avalanche. You're going to need a lot of it unless you wake up and put some effort. And bertuzzi needs to get better at road games, when he has the puck and hears the booing, most of the time he gets rid of the puck right away, who cares if they boo you? You have the same number of fans they have and more back at home cheering for YOU. Pretend the fans aren't even there and make great goals while rubbing it into their face. That's my three cents.

I think that belonged more on a forum than an LJ post, oh well.

What's next? Eh, not much, today was mostly a hockey day, but I really must say...
Li is the most adorable thing this planet has seenw ithout that hat on, I mean, the hat's cool and all, but his bangs change when his hat is off, and it changes the back of his hair too, maybe they did that so you could see the third eye, but after it was gone, his bangs were still the same, it was unbelievably cute. I squeal at it! SQUEAL! SQUEAL!
