It has been almost one week! STATUS REPORT!

Pohbowl D. Nazzo and Capp Nazzo have settled in quite well. It took them a few days to stop being terrified (Nazzo especially) but they're both very outgoing hamsters. On the first few days it was Capp who began to relax when in my presence, and thus I see Capp as the braver, more bolder of the two. Despite initial outlooks though, it is actually Nazzo, not Capp, who has hilarious outtakes at the wheel. (The backflip though, is still Capp) They're eating their food and both of them know where the water is located and how to drink when thirsty. I'm also able to (if you haven't noticed) tell between the two, having a much easier time now than previously. Capp has a slightly slimmer face and body with a scruffier-look while Nazzo looks neater with a wider face and is slightly bulkier. Either way if someone simply took a glance they'd still ask which is which, lol. I have plenty of images and video as evidence. Also, Capp is about 8 times easier to get a picture of than the elusive suspected-troll Nazzo. I am extremely tempted to compare them with certain characters, as they actually act quite like them, but I'll keep fandom rants aside until later in this entry...for now, PICTURES AND VIDEO!
Capp is much more photo-friendly than Nazzo...case in point:
Pictures of NAZZO:

Not bad pictures eh? Well compare them to CAPP:

He actually stares at the camera! You see when I'm about to take a photo there is a click sound, so Capp actually pays attention and turns his head to where that beep sound came from. Nazzo on the other hand would be like "WTF WAS THAT!?" *runs around everywhere* so his images are less quality D: A lot of those images are taken during his movement while Capp stood still.
Now for pictures of them together! Here is the proof that they've been eating, drinking, cleaning themselves, sleeping...I usually don't catch such activities thus why I call it "proof".

Here we have Capp drinking. I actually like how adorable they are when they drink from the bottle, holding the nozzle with their little paws like that. Awww.

Here we have the two...doing something. I'm surprised I got a picture of them doing this, lol. They look like they're wrestling.

IT IS FEEDING TIME. I REALLY know who is who here. Nazzo on the right, Capp on the left. P:

And after being stuffed with food, sleep. Nazzo's the one almost-sleeping on his back, lol. How cute, those paws are his feet *w*
And a video for even more rarities:
Now I have NEVER seen ANY of my hamsters use the bath sand before. Granted this was the first time I actually left the sand in there for more than fifteen minutes, lol. Nazzo is not only the one rolling around in it, he is also the one who spun crazily on the wheel. There is also a rather brief vid of them eating in case the photos aren't evidence enough! P:
That is all for the hamsters, oh but what's this!?
A vid of my small clan/group of vent buds playing League of Legends. They're not really 'OMFG SUPER AWESOME FRAGS" videos, just anything amusing that might have happened including people's Vent speak, lol.
Now for a bit of a fandom rant that LJ ate but I saved a bulk of and have to rewrite the end here: (It also completely deleted that vid above and a bunch of the text, WTF LJ? Why are you being stupidly slow today too!?)A
For this lovely post, I've been rewatching Sailor Moon (slightly, not in some gigantic marathon or anything. 200 episodes is ridiculous @_@) and I was talking to Aoi-dono about Sailor Moon Touhou parallels for the hell of it.
While character parallels can be endless and extremely subjective, I began wondering about pairing parallels. I began by basically looking at a picture of Murasa/Ichirin and suddenly going: "Huh, that kind of reminds me of Haruka/Michiru". If only in appearance and just barely, but I suppose I can make a case for characterizations as well.
Well I guess I can sum it up in a few words: Short hair, long hair, tomboy and girly girl, the element of water/ocean, the element of sky/cloud, wavy hair, and finally....one would be totally boring without the other. Actually, this is quite harsh but it is of my opinion that either way Ichirin would be totally boring anyway. I hate to bash her or anything, as I have nothing against her character...the thing is, I have nothing for it either. I could actually extend this even to the Sailor Moon counterpart but I'm sure that would offend so many Haruka/Michiru fans @_@, but yeah I'm not too big on Neptune either.
I read a fanfic of Touhou (rarely do, just was curious) which implied and pretty much outright stated this pairing, but through the interesting dynamic perspective of Murasa. I have to admit, I actually enjoyed it, but these two together is like...a stereotypical pairing you see ALL the time, constantly. The average pairing. The one you think about. You see, western characterizations of Murasa typically just make her out like the average dude. She is extremely reckless (perhaps justified in the fact that she's already dead though P: ) and finds doing incredibly dangerous things to be, and I quote "incredibly, unbelievably cool" no matter the end result, even if she were near death. (Which is impossible anyway...I hope) Think of the movie "Jackass" where a bunch of guys do a bunch of stupid things because it is fun.
While Ichirin more often than not, is her straight man, the one who will yell at her for doing these stupid things. Imagine a girl seeing their boyfriend on the couch with a beer watching football, and then asking him to take out the garbage, but he does not because he's watching football, and then she complains, and then he asks her to make her a sandwich, and then she complains more, and...you know, stereotypical! That's really boring. If Ichirin is simply the foil to Murasa that's not enough for her to be her own character, really. I know there are tons of pairings out there or even just two main characters where one is simply the foil to the other, but...I never like those type of pairings. Murasa not being particularly popular to begin with won't really, at least in my opinion, make this pairing stand out for a long time. I just cannot see the charm.
This is how I found another parallel with Sailor Moon.
It reminds me of how often I complain that Tuxedo Mask, or Mamoru, is a completely boring and flat character which leads to Usagi/Mamoru to be completely boring and flat. Usagi herself is very entertaining, but Mamoru is simply there to be her king, to be her prince, the guy that allows Chibiusa to exist. Perhaps it is the power of destiny that causes Usagi to like him because I personally see no appeal to that very boring, very serious, and very flat man.
And how do I proceed with this opinion? By vastly preferring Seiya/Usagi over it.
This is EXACTLY how I view Murasa/Ichirin and Murasa/Nue.
My memory might be fuzzy about this especially due to my half-asleep state, but name me one SINGLE episode that depicted Mamoru and Usagi going on a date, and actually showing them starting to have feelings for one another. This doesn't exist. Perhaps because Tuxedo Mask saved her a billion times the moment she realized who he was caused her to fall in love...or is that simply destiny again? I mean, not only does she start "being in love" with him after she finds out HE IS THE PRINCE and SHE IS THE PRINCESS but it just happens so very drastically, so sudden. Sure there have been random encounters between the two before they found out, but it was generally Usagi being annoyed by some "jerk" she keeps bumping into. Now, if I knew a guy who I thought was a jerk and kept running into him, rather than thinking "this must be fate olololololol" I'd probably think lady luck is against me for making me be in this bastard's presence constantly. To me, that is not romantic whatsoever.
Of course even if it is fate, the entire Sailor Moon storyline will just go out of whack without Chibiusa existing...so, I accept it's canonicity. That doesn't mean I like it. There have been episodes featuring Seiya/Usagi in Stars, and every single one of them are enjoyable. I daresay my favourites of the Stars season barring things like the everyone dies episode. Really, I don't need to explain why I enjoy it so much more...it's quite obvious that Seiya/Usagi is far more superior, canon or one-sided or not.
Although I don't see why I'm really doing such comparisons when both Murasa/Nue and Murasa/Ichirin aren't popular in the Touhou scene to begin with, but it's not like you're going to see me rant about OMFG MARIALI SUPERIOR TO MARIPATCH GTFO!!!!!111!! (Even if I somewhat agree with that statement. After all, Alice is actually partnered with Marisa in a few the games, as is her neighbour and such, while Patch, Marisa just steals books from so it's pretty clearly which pairing makes more sense and to me is more enjoyable anyway....wait, I said I WASN'T GOING TO RANT ABOUT IT Ndkfjndjsfnkfgfkgjfg. Well, I could make that all a moot point by saying: PATCHALI IS THE BESTEST even if it makes even less sense than those two...well, both characters hold a book, and uh, they're both magician youkai...relatively young...uhm @_@. Stop ranting about this Spotto!)
And if you managed to scroll all the way down here, I congratulate you....if you actually read all of the above. If you simply scrolled, well you cheated. However at the end here I will leave a little cheat sheet for all the obvious hints I've been making with hamster names if you can't figure it out, SO:
Pohbowl = Mangled version of Spotto
D. = stands for Doughboy
Nazzo = Nazrin + the traditional O suffix to every other hamster's name (Hobo, Toto, Asako, Solo, Koho, Nazzo!)
Thus Nazzo's full name is really: Spotto Doughboy Nazrin. Olololol.
Capp is pretty easy, it's "CAPTAIN MURASA" duh. This is why I called the two the "Commander and Captain" as Nazrin's title is "The Tiny, Tiny, Clever Commander."
And so it ends, CHU~ <3 (THAT MOUSE IN SPIRITED AWAY WAS INCREDIBLY, UNBELIEVABLY COOL!
