Okay episode was great and all, loved the intro.

BUT WHY DID YOU RECYCLE THE CRYING ANIMATION, ANIMATORS!? THIS EPISODE WOULD'VE BEEN FIVE TIMES BETTER IF THAT WAS BRAND NEW ANIMATION! If you wanted to cut corners don't choose INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT parts to bloody recycle! GAH! WHEN I SEE THAT SCENE, I do not see legitimately sad Pinkie, I SEE PINKIE HAPPILY CRYING, LIKE IT WAS IN EPISODE TWO!! Nghgbhggfghfgbfgbfhjffshg!

I also found her letter to Celestia worded rather uncharacteristically...it just seems weird for her to write a letter. That intro sadly hyped up the rest of the episode for me, even though I enjoyed a lot of the episode, but ugh that animation recycle. It was bad enough they were recycling sound bytes. (Scootaloo saying "What are you, a dictionary!?" last episode.) The babies also seemed a tad too self-aware, dumping that flour on themselves.

Welp this wasn't the episode I was hyped for anyway, despite Pinkie. It was funny and cute though and Pinkie's characterization was good. I just...blargh, these other things that will bother me forever. That song literally made me go "what the fuck" too, lol. Not a terrible song or anything, it was just WTF out of nowhere and silly. Time to be crazy hyped up for THE LAST ROUNDUP and be horribly disappointed! (Have faith in writers, have faith in writers!) Also that rumour about amazing writer doing this episode wasn't true. The actual writer does more down-to-earth episodes, still good though! (She wrote May the Best Pet Win after all) But RARGH.
