Today's hockey game was great! Oh yeah, we lost, I know, we already lost 4 times to Edmonton ina  row, and just lost 3 tiems in a row, AT HOME, where, we are supposed to be great at.
But hey, you win some you lose some,  just because our goaltending isn't the greatest means not  in playing hockey. After all, this is just a game, and yes, the goal may be a big giant 3-foot silver cup, but you only keep it for a year, and sure you make money from this, but any job where you make over 100K is pretty much a good job.

Why do you care about a salary raise if you make 5mil a year? Why do you care about a big giant silver cup? Maybe the Canucks do because we haven't won one yet, and it'd be nice. How come we keep losing to Albertan teams like how Toronto keeps losing to Ottawa? I mean if we play well, keep up the confidence, we'll still get a raise, maybe not as big as a raise as making the team win every game, but not all steps have to be huge steps, many little steps is easier than a big giant step.

Bertuzzi's been doing well, he's actually been scoring on games that we lose mroe than games we win, but that's ok, he had a good game, sure it was frustrating, but this team could sleep all day and be lazy if we had a goalie like Hasek or Roy, but Roy's retired and Hasek's on drugs. All we got is this inexperienced goaltender named Alex Auld, and a 3rd backup called Maxime Ouellet who opens up his legs reeeeeeeaally wide, we can't always rely on our defense either, some defense are able to drive up towards the net and score, why can't some forwards try to defend too? Only Naslund is doing that and he hasn't be having a great hockey time so far, losing at the shootout and the game, not able to get a shot at the last seconds of the 7-6 game, even if he has been getting goals. He doesn't seem like a person who passes as much, and Bertuzzi passes TOO much.

But it's not a curse, we broke our road game losing streak, but we're nto a team that continues, and continues, we tend to stop, take a break, but hey, it's just hockey, it's just a game.

Which brings me to this point, the canucks were trying a lot lately, especially against the Edmonton Oilers today, but frustration always comes when you still lose, when you bring the puck to the net so much, and you backup can't make a wonderful save everytime, it's not that the defence is bad (it's not great though), but Edmonton is quick, speedy, and good offense players, with solid defense too, and a not so great goalie, we have to join offense and defense together if we want to make sure the puck doesn't go near the net.

At least we learned today, and 13 goales by 13 different player sis funny, also 5 goals in 5 minutes is too funny too, bad goalies both side.

Anyway...
I've sort of been on a Battle B-Daman craze (what do ya mean sort of?!), oh yeah, as you can see, I'm pasting Wen and Li stuff everywhere, I got it on my LJ, I got it at the forums, and soon it'll be wallpaper on both my desktop and my walls. Speaking of which, on my birthday I was completely mad when I got home, I ripped my entire Rei Shrine of picutres and most of the Max ones off the wall. The only thing left on the wall are Rei/Max fanarts (the one Akira got me is on the top), a Max picture drawn for me, and a John and Henry picture my friend drew for me, everything else, GONE. DBZ, LF2, other Beyblade stuff, ALL GONE. Brooklyn got ripped in half, Rei torn in peces, Max saddenly scrunched into the garbage can, and a piece of Tala still resides on the floor.

Not that I'm sad about that, I'm kind of REALLY gone from Beyblade now, I know sometime in the future I will rid of B-Daman too, even though I denied it when I was a crazed beyblade fanatic. But right now I am REALLY IN-to B-Daman, and this is what I have to say...

Ah yes, my favourite character, he's not who you think he is. He's not that innocent, not that "good" on the terms of good and bad, not with great self-conscious, seems to be a bit too smart for his age (He said some long word that had a dash within it in the dub that I had no idea what it meant, I mean, A 9 YEAR OLD SAYING THAT is rare), tends to stay in the background of action,  and almost all the time is with his brother in an almost perfect relationship.

You know who he is, Li! His first appearance was in the very first episode, and he isn't introduced, just shown, like Wen, like Terry, and like Enjyu. But his first "meaningful part" of the season was episode 5 with his brother, being the antagonists of that episode going onto episode 6. They seem like the evil duo that won't back down and seem to be significant BAD GUYS. Oh, but out of Wen and Li, Li seems eviller, (ok LOOKS eviller, lol, you have no idea how scary/evil he looks in a shot of that episode, so much for innocent!)

But out of Wen and Li, Li gets to have the character development start first. You learn on episode 13 that he seems to be led the wrong direction, like a 5 year old walking around the neighbourhood stabbing people with a pocket knife because his father is a murderer, and he watched him murder people when young. In other words, people who need serious therapy, ok I'm exaggerating. But still, you see in episode 49 (well I watched it in Korean, so I got no idea why, and what they were saying, stupid YTV schedule of B-Daman), now these are estimated ages, but Wen and Li were younger, and were standing in front of the gateways of the Shadow Alliance, probably a place to train lil' young folks like them.

It isn't known if they had parents, but if they did have parents, they would have common sense and not let such young little kids join some evil organization, ne? So yeah, they were much younger, Wen looked 6-9,  and Li looked 4-6, Wen already had some sense of "big brother-manship" by then, when they were so young. Anyway, they didn't look evil or anythign there, they looked like what...plain lil' kids would, they were a bit afraid, (WTF did they join in the first place if they looked scared?!?!) but went in, as children, not as twisted little annoying stupid heads. It's like Enjyu, Enjyu was like lil' Malk Ishtar, and then BOOM, they both go insane/evil because of bad sad things that happen in the past. (The episode,"All About Enjyu" was AWESOME!) So Enjyu joined Shadow Alliance AFTER turned insane/evil. But not Wen/Li, but I dunno why. I'll get back to you on that.

So, there had been pretty brief flashbacks and stuff about them in SA, but the only explanation (For now because I dunno wtf they did in there) is how they were treated (as seen in "Twisted Sister Act" as how trainees get trained) and since they were young, how they learned to behave as, but it didn't seem to give great effect on them, because they switched sides pretty easily. Ok, Wen did, Li just follows.

But on episode 13, Li wasn't your young evil little annoying kid who throws eggs at your car every morning, he was probably...following his brother, but it may be a bit surprising on how he wanted to do this "ultimately failed mission that ended in ultimate hilarity and humanoid pigs" by himself. And, on how Wen reacted to what Li was doing with Yamato (no Yaoi thoughts here, please), seemed like Li was just following Wen. (And wanted to complete such a mission himself to please Wen, it's like, WEN! WEN! WEN! OMFG! I'M YOUR LIL' BROTHER AND YOU'RE LIKE A DADDY TO MEEE!! SJESJDNDK!)

Oh yeah, if you lose parents when your young, only got an older sibling left to look after you, who's a bit young for responsibility and joins some twisted evil organization because of his youngness, dragging your ltitle scared brother into the mess, who's younger and things that happen would effect him more...then of course, Li has a little more trouble with his morality than Wen would.  Meaning his personaility is affected more, because, being younger and more inexperienced, would adapt to his enviornment.

So on episode 13, he finally sees what "GOOD" is, but his older brother is still dangling along with the SA, and he just wants to impress Wen, be a good little brother to Wen, follow him around, because these two are so attached, those sibling rivalries are gone...BUT.

Sometimes when you're young and adapted so well to something, and see the light of something else that's better for you, but is also looking up to an older brother who cared for you all the time, what the hell WOULD you do? You wouldn't know better, because you're so young, and when you're a little kid, you are scared to do bad things because the big people will punish, so what does Li do, in spite of his moral, in spite of what is right? He does what is wrong, just because of his environment and the people around him.

Which springs up the next fact, how WEN sees the light (but knew it before), and switches sides so easily, not healthy for the younger brother. Who had the chance to change sides, but didn't because of his older brother, who later changed sides so easily. What does that have to do with whatever happened in episode 43?!?! Even though I have no diea what the hell they said? You're not helping the little boy's conscious, Wen, you're being a BAAAD brother, Wen, but, it's not until later in the series, where he was just trying to be a good older brother. And when Li switches sides so easily (the following may or may not be true, because I dunno Korean) because Li is adapted more into the "BAD" environment, it affects Wen bad, but Wen doesn't know why.

So this is where sibling rivalry shows up, whether it be Li brainwashed or not, trying to help Enjyu (And making his character more unrealistic if it were that) or not, they fight. And thus, the Wen character development begins. Wen overcomes the fact that...HIS BROTHER IS YOUNGER THAN HIM!!! Since Wen is always the one smiling, having fun, doing this, doing that, holds Bakurekuso more, he just forgot that someone was behind him. (In a mental way, of course he knows he has a younger brother) Li seems to "act" like the older one, because he in some weird way has a more mature sense somehow.

Maybe Li had a good reason to break apart from his brother, Wen was just being himself, not trying to hurt anyone, it's just something unfortunate, that makes Li such a realistic character. (Unlike Max, you aren't supposed to be happy 24/7 when your parents broke apart) "YAY! MY PARENTS BROKE APART!!! I AM SO HAPPY!!!" Sure, Max has his angst, but it's not strong enough for something realistic.

Yes, Li is cute, that's because he's 9. Yes, Li seems innocent, that's because he's 9, but he is just led the wrong way, and that's why Li can also be angry, sad, evil, mad, guilty, distressed, or happy. Which is why I love this character, because he's ultimately adorable..but doesn't always act how he looks.

Episode 43, with the stupidest episode title of all (With Friends Like These?!?! It's about two brother going byebye to each other!) is what this animation is about:

Oh the joy of ranting for no reason.
