Perhaps this wasn't the greatest season to fall in love with hockey, but you know, I had my dreams, and there's next year.
I wish good luck to Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal, Colorado, any team I've hated in my life. I hope they can do better. (Go Montreal and Colorado!!! Montreal because Huet and Koivu rock, Colorado because I love Joe Sakic...and only Joe Sakic, everybody else there I don't really like)

It's just that, when I first REALLY got into hockey, it was not for the wins, since I was new. I just watched them play, and laughed whenever they lost, but right now losing wasn't an option, yet they took it. It's San Jose.
They don't give up, THEY HAVE JOE THORNTON, we have a bunch of talented lazy people who procrastinated too much and this is their punishment. It's what happens if you just skate around thinking you'll "easily" land in the playoffs.

Another sad thing is because they lost this game, all those wins before, the Calgary game, all those desperate ones they DID win, were in vain. They tried, but lost. Auld couldn't do it, mostly because the defense couldn't do it, and when they did do it, the forwards couldn't, and when they both did it, the goalie wasn't Auld, it was Cloutier, Noronen, Quellet, but when they had the offense and the defense to these goalies, they had no passion. No passion like the Edmonton Oilers did to beat the Ducks. And when the defense and offense were doing great, Auld couldn't. All the bad timing, the bad luck, the horrible situations and every event that affected this team...and themselves as well!

Cloutier had a great team in front of him, they just never tried.
Nobody had confidence in Quellet.
Noronen hadn't played in ages.

Auld? He was great, he tried to carry them on his back, but he couldn't, he collapsed. The defence tried to help, but weren't much help. The forwards had their times of shine, but they couldn't stay consistent. Every game someone different gets the spotlight, but rarely did the whole team get the spotlight.

To be honest, I'm not looking forward to what our team rebuilds into. Frankly, I love Bertuzzi, Naslund, even Morrison, but our expectations were high, and when they just couldn't achieve it, we throw them out. We take those who can do something for us. Naslund would probably stay, but not captain at least, not until he gets better at leadership. Jovo, Linden, even Carney could take the C...even for one game, see how it's like.

I'm not saying don't blame the goalies, since some games ALL of our goalies have been shakey. It'd be nice to have a first line like Ottawa, a 2nd line like ours, and an elite goalie that keeps us in the game. I don't think we really need goalies that steal games and could win the whole game for the team without any other players (AKA Calgary) But that's like wishing for the second coming of Jesus, it's not easy.

What we need is some spirit, some heart, some desperation and that'd be the minimum. Hard work combined with making smart plays beats out talent itself in seconds. Too bad we only have the talent, and only sometimes have the other two.

For this Colorado game, I don't care that we're out, I want them to WIN that game. It's the last game of the season, even if it's outright pointless. I want them to try their best with all their heart, in the playoffs or not! I don't want a team like this to only try if it's for something important. (AKA making the playoffs) I want them to try ALL THE TIME(And if they did, WE WOULD be in the playoffs!), and the LAST thing I want to see is for us to get shut out by Colorado 9-0 because we all have already fallen off the edge.
For example, Linden getting his 300th goal, Auld finally getting a shutout maybe? I just want on last treat from this team that'll probably be severely reconfigured next year.

So, until next time, fans!

I was going to smack that message to the Canuckle-message board, but apparently my email is banned there.
OMGWTFBBQ?! (I'm not even a MEMBER there...)

But even if it wasn't banned, my god, THOSE CANUCK FANS SUCK. They won't even watch the Colorado game! I'm going to watch it! My god, so they lost and won't win, ENJOY THE GAME, AND YOU CALL YOURSELVES FANS!!!!
"Love this team, love this game."
They just want this team to win.
Team doesn't win, they throw them out. (AKA trade them all away)
Even the commentors are pissed off (and whenever they scored, they sounded positive, and whenever they were scored on, they had a tone in their voice going "THE CANUCKS ARE GONE!!!")

With that said...

GO MONTREAL!!!!!!!!!
