The "Theory" of LEARNING SECRETS!

A theory of evolution...err, I mean the theory of who will learn of Negi's magic secret NEXT!
Based on the song, "Happy Material" of Mahou Sensei Negima! Where groups of 3-A are seperated in different versions of the
Happy Material song. There are 6 groups in total.
Notes: Keep in mind that there are 6 people in group 1. (5 in the rest)
“Abnormal Type” | “Name of AT” | “Pactio” | “Non-pactios + can fight” | “Just Know” |
1 - Ghost | Sayo | Yue | | Kazumi |
2 - Robot | Chachamaru | Asuna | Misora
3 - Hanyou | Setsuna | Konoka, Haruna | Ku Fei
4 - Martian | Chao | | Kaede, Mana
5 - Vampire | Evangeline | Chisame | | Satomi |
6 - Youkai* | Zazie* | Noboka | | Satsuki |
*note: Zazie is a speculation.
# of people who know Negi's secret:
1- 3
2- 3
3- 4
4- 3
5- 3
6- 3
1. Akira very unknown, not likely to figure out secret.
2. Two cheerleaders, cheerleaders aren't likely to figure out secret.
3. Makie is lone not-knowing in this group, other groups need one more person to find out before then.
4. Sakurako = cheerleader.
5. Twins unlikely to know, however are the only ones left in their group that don't know.
6. Ayaka seems like a person who'd find out last.
This leaves:
Yuuna, Ako, Chizuru, Natsumi as the next one to find out.
Yuuna because: Father is mage. (or something of significance to the story at least)
Ako because: Dated "Nagi" and saw injury on face similar to Negi's. Will get suspicious.
Chizuru because: Kotarou.
Natsumi because: Kotarou.
Extra info: Akira is speculated to possibly be a mermaid, which makes 2 abnormal beings for group 1, but group 1 has 6 people so
it can happen. If Akira is indeed a mermaid, then possible that ALL of group one will know Negi is a magi before others.
Zazie is heavily theoried to be a demon, that already knows Negi is a magi. It is not yet official however, thus group 6 is unofficial.
Making it having the least amount of people to know magic, but group 1 has speculated the most, so it could go in very crude
order.
The current "Just Know" people were all associated with Chao in some form or another. (Mana and Sayo as the others, while Sayo
was in it just for Kazumi ;) and Mana was in it for money.)
People who will find out last:
Ayaka and Makie, Negi obsessors. (making it ironic that they don't know)
Cheerleaders, because they have no personality.
Fuuka and Fumika, the twins, doesn't seem like it, a little childish with no magic connection.
Possible order of people discovering secret:
Zazie (may already know)
Chizuru
(these two because they have not been in the spotlight recently [so coverage goes to them faster])
Natsumi
Ako (was in spotlight recently)
Yuuna (has not been in spotlight at all, thus last [needs coverage first])
Akira (solely based on mermaid speculation/or that some sports girls know so will follow suit)
The twins (due to Kaede)
Ayaka/Makie (obsess of Negi so much that they eventually DO find out)
Cheerleaders (are last because they lack character development)
Although I think the twins, Ayaka, Makie, and the cheerleaders might find out last at the same time, makes no sense to keep it a
secret from like three people when the two people who spread secrets (Haruna/Kazumi) already know and Negi isn't an ermine yet.
It was not leaked to Chao because she knew beforehand, being Negi's ancestor, so that effect of almost turning Negi into an
ermine by sending them to the future is not because of dangers of leaking secrets. (Of course Chao wants to leak secrets, so it
is pretty much that indirectly, however we are talking about in terms of leaking secrets to the members of 3-A solely)
...this theory is probably wrong...>><<>>
Hail Kazumi/Sayo! =D
Chapter 3: Canary
One day had passed since the birth of Ako, a cute little orphaned chick who was eventually adopted by Konoka and Setsuna, much to Setsuna’s dismay. It was also one day since the arrival of Kazumi, a canary who came in a dark little box with no water or food for days. They had met a wild little penguin named Haruna, who was probably dislocated as they were definitely not in Anarctica, and a young hamster named Natsumi. They also had run into Ku Fei, a cat hungry for prey, once.
It was
The canary assumed that this moist substance in the feeder was some type of food. After Chisame left the barn, closing one of the two doors of the barn, Kazumi jumped onto the feeder and poked the food. Ako walked by and looked up at Kazumi, wondering what she was doing.
”What are you doing, oneechan!?” Ako asked suddenly, surprising Kazumi who fell into the food.
Kazumi poked her head out of the yellow unknown type of grub and took a bite of it. She suddenly heard a ‘meow’ behind her.
”Hm, it’s kind of convenient that a tasty little canary is in the food dish-aru,” Ku Fei whispered behind Kazumi.
”Run, oneechan!” Ako yelled. Kazumi jumped out of the feeder and dragged Ako with her towards the barn’s opening. Unfortunately Ku Fei was gaining on them; suddenly a penguin came out of nowhere and stood between the small birds and the striped cat.
“Hey Ku Fei! How are you?” Haruna greeted.
Ku Fei mumbled, “I’m hungry-aru.”
“And you’re chasing after two innocent little birdies!?” Haruna gasped, “now that’s low of you!”
”Actually, just one, that bird behind you happens to be a ca—“ A fistful of yellow food smashed into the cat’s mouth. The canary had picked it off her feathers and threw it on the cat.
“Let’s go!” Kazumi yelled and the three birds ran out of the barn. Haruna wasn’t very fast, but when they got to a stream of water, she jumped in and went ahead of the canary and chick.
Chisame then closed the other door of the barn, which kept Ku Fei from running out. Chisame was not aware of that, since she just wanted to go back inside the house and work on something apparently a secret on the computer. She mumbled as she walked off from the barn, ignoring the various meows coming from it.
”I feel sorry for poor Ku Fei, I mean she’s a cat, cats naturally want to eat other animals,” Haruna stated, “if only we could find a canary!”
Kazumi kept quiet as she rolled her eyes. Ako was a little confused at the whole situation but dismissed it. They headed towards Konoka’s tree and suddenly Kazumi’s stomach growled.
“Ahh, I still haven’t eaten for days!” She said, rubbing her stomach.
Haruna grabbed a fish out of nowhere, “Here you go!”
”What’s this?”
”It’s fish! Setsuna and I eat it many times! Haven’t you?”
”Back in the cage I used to live in, they gave me bird seeds all the time…” Kazumi started, she poked the fish with a talon, “and this looks…uhh, disgusting…”
The canary looked up at the penguin, who was glaring at her rather intensely. The smaller bird grinned and understood the silent message sent by the arctic animal. She picked up the fish and took a bite. Painfully swallowing, Kazumi stood there in silence. The raw fish tasted odd, but it was not the taste that was irking her, it was the fish bone lodged in her throat…
“Uh, Haruna-san, oneechan doesn’t look okay…” Ako asked, shaking a bit since the chick was still frightened by the penguin.
Haruna laughed, “What do you mean? Kazumi here looks fine!” She smacked the canary in the back, causing her to fall forward. That action definitely caused the bone in her throat to cover up all openings to the trachea. In other words, the bird couldn’t breathe.
”Oneechan!” Ako cried. The chick started panicking and running around in circles.
Haruna shouted, “Calm down! I know what to do! Uh, Kazumi, run around in circles, jump in the water! Stand upside-down! SOMETHING!”
”Don’t you know what to do, Haruna-san!?” Ako said in a voice louder than the normal decibels a chick would be able to yell in.
Haruna waddled around, “Oh no! I don’t know what to do! I’ll go get Konoka! Wait here!!!”
Suddenly, Ako stopped watching Kazumi in horror and ran directly at her, smashing into the canary’s stomach. A loud cough came from the songbird as a fish bone flew out of her beak and smashed into the back of Haruna’s head, knocking her into the water unconscious. The canary however, was not conscious either. Ako screamed and flapped her wings, panicking yet again when finally a crane heard the commotion and showed up.
Setsuna flew down and scooped up the penguin in her talons and put her back onto land. She then landed next to Ako, wondering why two birds were face down and unconscious.
”Ako, what happened?”
”Mama! Haruna-san gave oneechan fish, and then oneechan started acting strangely! Then I hit oneechan in the stomach and something came out of her mouth that hit Haruna-san and now they’re both dead! Waaaah!” the chick bawled, still running around in circles.
Setsuna flapped her large wings a bit, trying to calm down her ‘daughter’. The crane ran around chasing Ako, asking her to stop. Finally the chick, still only a very young creature, ran out of energy and stopped. Setsuna wrapped one of her wings around Ako, and patted her on the head.
”There, there…um, it’s okay. Why did you hit Kazumi in the stomach anyway?”
Ako still sobbed quietly, “I don’t know! I guess if I hit her in the stomach the thing hurting her would go away!”
”And she’s right,” said a voice up in the trees.
Setsuna looked up, and an owl flew down from the tree. The bird walked towards the other two birds, and noticed the two other birds as well. Everybody was a bird. This owl had antennas like Haruna, but only one.
“Aren’t you one of Ojou-sama’s friends from long ago? What was the name again? Yue?” Setsuna asked.
The owl nodded, “That’s correct.” Her monotone voice seemed to suit the owl’s deadpan expression. She put her wing on Kazumi’s neck, then walked towards Haruna and checked her neck as well.
“I’m afraid this penguin is dead.”
”What!?” Setsuna exclaimed, raising her wings in surprise.
“No wait, I couldn’t feel her pulse because her neck was incredibly thick,” the owl started, who then checked the penguin’s fin, “ah, she’s alive.”
Setsuna sighed in relief, since she almost had a heart attack from that. The owl pointed at the barn, seemingly trying to indicate something.
”You should bring them to the local cow, and get Konoka. They’ll know what to do,” Yue advised. She offered to carry one of the insentient birds, much to Setsuna’s disappointment, she did not want to carry the penguin. They got to the barn, where thankfully Ku Fei had run off, and Konoka was standing at the feeder talking to a large cow, whom was eating the slosh in the feeder.
“Then Natsumi-chan tripped and hit Kazumi-san in the head! They tumbled down and Ku Fei was about to eat them when—“ Konoka was chatting to the cow, who was incredibly interested of her account of the happenstance of yesterday.
Yue called out to them, “Konoka! Chizuru!”
Konoka turned and smiled, calling out as well, “Secchan! Yue!”
The two birds landed in a nest and put the exanimate penguin and canary down. Ako jumped off Setsuna’s back and sat in the nest as well, looking at the ‘dead’ animals that she thought she was responsible for. The chick was still extremely upset at what she thought she was at fault for, and didn’t make a chirp or anything.
“Yue!” Konoka exclaimed, “Where have you been!?”
Yue pointed with her wing outside the window, towards the west, “I flew around the world, looking for that delicious fruit water I tried a long time ago. I discovered that there just isn’t one type of fruit water, but many types of fruit water, except it is only accessible to man. Upon my discovery, I witnessed many other great interesting sights that have convinced me to return. I believe I can get fruit water just as easily here as other places I’ve attempted to get some.”
Chizuru, a cow who seemed to have lived in the barn the longest of them all, nodded, “Konoka here was just telling me why Natsumi was so upset the other day! Now who is that cute yellow bird you brought along with Haruna?”
”That unconscious yellow bird there is Kazumi-san!” Konoka explained, but then Chizuru interrupted her, correcting the koala.
”No, no, the one that’s sitting in the nest all melancholy!” Chizuru pointed at little Ako, sitting there and sniffing.
Konoka chuckled, “That would be our adopted daughter, Ako!”
”Eh, O-ojou-sama, I t-think to really c-call Ako our d-daughter may be o-overdoing it a l-little?” squeaked Setsuna.
”Nonsense! She calls us mama and papa! It’s official!” Konoka stated. She jumped onto the nest and hugged little Ako, “aw, why is Ako so sad?”
Ako sniffed and pointed at Kazumi and Haruna, “Oneechan and scary Haruna-san are dead because of me!!!”
”They’re not dead,” Yue added.
Chizuru replied, “If that chick refers to that other bird as her ‘oneechan’, would that make her also your daughter as well?”
”Absolutely not!!!” Setsuna cried out suddenly, diverting all attention and awkward looks to her.
”Waaahh! Now my family is breaking apart because of me!!!” The chick cried louder.
Konoka laughed, “There there! It’s okay, Secchan is just being a little unorthodox!”
”What does unorthodox mean?”
”I have no idea, Ako!” Konoka replied.
Yue explained, “Unorthodox means to break tradition, as in not exactly conservative. To not be on the right side, as in—“
”We get the point, Yue,” Haruna suddenly said. Everybody turned to the penguin and had not noticed her awake.
”You know each other?” Setsuna asked, and the two birds nodded. The canary started coming to as well, whom was still hungry, and almost choked to death earlier. She sat up and noticed the large amount animals around her, staring at her, as if she had done something bad and they were incredibly upset with her.
”Yay! Oneechan came back to life!” Ako cheered.
”Huh? What happened?” Kazumi asked, rubbing her eyes. Her throat felt a bit sore from the sharp fish bone scratching on it earlier.
Yue started to speak, “Simple, since because of unplanned events that took place several minutes ago. Your hunger has led you to become desperate and to eat anything put in front of you, which happened to be a fish. In a spur of malicious luck, you accidentally swallowed a dangerous piece of the fish known as a bone that blocked air towards your trachea which leads to your lungs. Without oxygen, the blood cells in your body cannot collect the precious gas to give off to your body which needs it for its mechanism. Therefore your body automatically shuts down, and without that essential breath of air, you would di—“
”Okay, shut up Yue,” Haruna interrupted, “what’s important is that you’re ALIVE!”
”Not for long-aruyo!” A familiar meow was heard from the doorway.
They turned around and Ku Fei was standing there, licking her paws and grooming the rest of her body. She smiled, her feline fangs showing and shining from the devious grin, “I’m hungry, and I want to eat a bird-aruyo!”
Chizuru, who was several times larger than the cat countered back, “Ku Fei, would we let you eat one of our companions of great justice!?”
“Not at all-aru,” started the cat, “but if you see what’s at stake-aru…”
The feline brought out a hamster, Natsumi, who was terrified still from the cat. Ku Fei pointed at the canary sitting in the nest, “I’ll trade this delicious hamster for the even more of a delicacy canary you have over there!”
”What? Kazumi is a canary!?” Haruna exclaimed.
Chizuru gasped, “That bird is a canary!?”
”Yep! She’s a canary!” confirmed Konoka, who obviously wasn’t thinking at that moment.
Ku Fei smirked, “Yeap-aru. Now unless you can get me a lifetime supply of nikuman, you better trade that canary in for the hamster or I’ll just eat them both-aruyo!”
Kazumi sat there, staring at the evil, evil kitty. She knew something like this would happen, but she thought she could’ve escaped the feline every time. Back in the pet shop, all the other canaries would talk about this legendary canary, which would thwart all cats planning to eat him up. She kind of admired such a bird, but it wasn’t what Kazumi had in mind as a way to live a life.
Natsumi’s eyes had never looked so guilty and horrified before.

Okies, I done now.
