Okay, enough with teh crude Japanese.
Yue the owl was not a regular ol’ owl, no she was not. The quiet farm seemed still, as most of the hyperactive animals had idiotically run off towards the human girl. It was night time, with a dangerously red moon hovering above the silent acres of land. Yue, being an owl, tended to stay up later than others. After all, she was nocturnal, but excessive travelling had affected her sleep patterns, so unlike regular owls she would still sleep during night whenever necessary. Yue, Haruna, and Nodoka borrowed Konoka’s tree, and they lived in its gigantic trunk in the meantime.
Haruna was hiding behind the sweatdropping owl. The penguin was still convinced that all seals were the evil of all possible evils. The innocent exterior of Nodoka did not lessen Haruna’s fear to the seal; in fact it made the arctic bird much more suspicious of Nodoka. She even carved a little picture on the wall with the pointy stick she was always with that made the seal’s facial expression with an evil grin and slanted eyes, instead of Nodoka’s usual large eyes and barely noticed mouth.
“Haruna, Nodoka is a good friend of mine that I met at a shore near the sea. She swam into the river’s delta and reached this area. It seems that there was a man there that took all of her seal friends. There was also this fisherman…” Yue started, but didn’t seem like she could continue once she mentioned a fisherman.
Nodoka nodded, but didn’t elaborate on said fisherman, “Yue told me to come here. She said there were some animals here that’d become friends with me in an instant—“
”Oh little animals, will you be so kind as to let me in?” A voice could be heard from the outside and nobody recognized it.
Haruna immediately replied, as if it was a reoccurring habit, “Not by the hairs on my chinny-chin-chin!”
”…you don’t have hairs on your chin,” Yue added.
“…then by my two flicks of hair on my head!”
“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in!” The voice hollered.
Yue exclaimed, “Hm, that sounds familia—“
Suddenly, a huge gush of wind blew the crude door of the tree into pieces, and the tree itself was starting to uproot. Fearing for her life, Haruna threw her beloved pointy stick with as much force as possible. It evaded the gale and flew out the entrance of the tree. A few seconds after, such strong winds stopped. The animals inside heard an ‘ow’.
The tree, however, was on its side, completely dismantled from the ground. Yue jumped out of the ill-fated tree, and soon after Haruna came out, quickly jumping from Nodoka as she followed. The seal noticed a wolf rubbing his nose and a broken pointy stick next to him. The wolf brushed the minor injury off and cursed the penguin, “How dare you throw a stick at me!”
Haruna argued, “How dare you break my pointy stick!”
”Just who are you!?” Yue demanded, holding her wing out.
The wolf smiled, “I work under the dark mistress Evangeline, the black bunny-rabbit. Technically the only reason I do is to find a good fight…and it’s obvious that none of you can, at all—“
”Gasp! You work for…the legendary demon of the night!?” Haruna gasped.
“That stupid bunny doesn’t like being called that, but yes, I do,” the wolf said, “you may call me Kotaro as I take you to the rabbit as honorary victims, and don’t you dare run into a brick house! My cousin was boiled attempting to catch a pig in a brick house. He was such a moron!”
A little hamster suddenly entered the scene, and noticed a big bad wolf there. She whimpered and ran off, but the wolf smiled and leapt at the rodent, grabbing it with his mouth.
“Natsumi!” Haruna cried, “That hamster appears at the wrong place at the wrong time…”
Kotaro smiled, “So you know this shrimpy animal? Alright then, you have 5 minutes to decide if you want to surrender or not. I’ll be in that barn up there, if you don’t surrender, I will eat the hamster. If you do want to spare this tiny insignificant animal’s life, then come to the barn!”
”Insignificant?” Natsumi repeated, “the only animal that makes me feel insignificant is Chizuru!”
The wolf chuckled as he ran up the hill towards the barn. The other three animals did not hesitate and ran after the wolf. The canine entered the large red shelter and set the hamster onto a fluff of hay. He put his paw on the hamster and put some weight in the paw, making Natsumi unable to escape and feel a little crushed. The wolf’s head was turned, since he was staring at the other animals that were running up the hill. He did not notice the overly large shadow cast over him.
Natsumi made a small squeak as Kotaro turned his head to see a large cow looking down at him.
”Ah! Now you look like a formidable opponent! It shall be teeth and claws!” Kotaro yelled, going into a fighting stance with one leg still on Natsumi.
Chizuru smiled, “Oh, what a cute little dog!”
Kotaro immediately dropped to the ground, imitating the well-known anime fall, “That is not what you say when you’ve been challenged at all!”
Suddenly, the young wolf’s stomach growled, and he turned and looked at the hamster in his possession. He picked it up with his mouth.
”I’ll just have a snack before we figh—“
”Oh! You must be hungry! Here,” Chizuru pushed a bucket filled with milk over to Kotaro, who looked insulted.
“Wolves do not drink milk!” Kotaro yelled, “I’m about to eat this hamster here!”
Chizuru suddenly petted the wolf with her hoof, causing him to drop the hamster into the milk. The hamster frantically tried to grab the rim as she couldn’t swim and sighed in relief when she did. Kotaro jumped backwards, knocking over the bucket of milk which caused Natsumi to fly into the air and into the pile of hay that Ku Fei and Chisame messed up the other day. The hamster came out of the mess with hay stuck all around her, since the milk acted like glue.
Yue, Nodoka, and Haruna ran into the barn panting.
“Chizuru! There’s a wolf—“ Yue stopped as she saw the cow strangely hugging the confused little wolf who had come here for nothing like this.
“He’s just a misunderstood lost little puppy. Just some of my usual tender loving care will do him some good! Natsumi, wherever you are, you have just gained a new brother!”
”Hey! I did not agree to this, let me go, cow! I wanted a fight, not—“ Kotaro stopped short and his head suddenly touched the ground, causing him to taste some of the spilled milk.
”Mmm…this is…good…”
Natsumi meanwhile, was sitting down right in front of them. Because she was covered in hay, she camouflaged with the other hay and so was not seen by the cow, wolf, penguin, seal, or owl. She sighed and started lapping up some milk as well, also pretty hungry herself. The farm was silent for the rest of the day again, while the only food available was milk from Chizuru the hero.
“He still needs to get me a new pointy stick,” Haruna mentioned as they all started to drink some milk.

A crane, a koala, a chick, a canary, and a cat were all frantically searching for shelter as a downpour of rain started. Lightning could be seen in the distance and Ako held onto Setsuna tighter whenever she heard the booms of thunder occasionally sound. Konoka pointed at a stone cave in ahead of them and they quickly ran/flew into the great fissure of rock. Inside was pitch black, as the animals all stayed close together to warm up quicker.
“At this rate we’ll never find that human girl. We should’ve asked Yue-san to come with us, since she has travelled the world and is wise in direction…” Setsuna stated as she shuddered.
Konoka shivered, “Secchan, I’m cold…”
”Ah! Um, e-er, stay close t-to me, ojou-sama! You’ll b-be warmer!” muttered Setsuna.
“K-koalas aren’t used t-to c-cold weather, and neither a-am I,” Kazumi said, her beak jittering.
“You’re all weak-aru,” Ku Fei added, who wasn’t cold at all.
For some inexplicable reason, Ako also wasn’t freezing like almost everybody else was. She hopped off Setsuna and began to explore the cave until a roar of thunder boomed, causing her to run back to her guardian and stuff her face into Setsuna’s feathers. Setsuna, meanwhile, was as redder than a rose as Konoka was leaning against her for warmth. Kazumi just sat opposite from them up against the rock wall. A sudden sounded echoed from deep within the cave, prompting Kazumi to get up.
“Hm, I wonder where that sound came from,” she stated as she ventured deeper into the mysterious darkness of the cave.
Setsuna raised her wing towards Kazumi, “Hey, don’t go too far. Curiosity killed the cat, you know…”
Ku Fei suddenly glared at the crane, and would not let off the curse from her eyes.
“Err, I mean…curiosity killed the bird…”
Ako yelped and dug deeper into Setsuna, almost to a feeling of pain for the crane, “What!? It did!?”
”…fine, curiosity killed the BEAR!”
Konoka mused, “Awr, why would curiosity kill a bear? Isn’t it big and strong and scary?”
Setsuna sighed, “Okay…curiosity killed the crane, are you all happy now?”
”Oh no! We have to protect Secchan then!” Konoka threw up her paws, “everybody, protect Secchan!”
”O-ojou-sama, you know as well as I do that I can defend myself…”
Ku Fei agreed, “Alright! Everybody surround Setsuna-san, aruyo!”
Ako happily jumped away from the white bird and put herself in a fun defending pose. Now a koala, a cat, and a little chick were all striking poses foolishly as they shielded Setsuna from any signs of danger!!
”Wait-aru…where’s Kazumi-arune?”
They all turned and looked deeper within the cave. Kazumi had run off there, but never came back. There was a long dead silence, not even then most talkative of all animals was making a sound. Something chilled the creatures’ backbones as the silent air seemed to freeze them in place due to fear. Finally, something burst their hibernating-like selves. A growl was heard from the end of the cave.
“A BEEEEEEEEEAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Kazumi was running for her dear life as she reached the other four animals near the entrance of said cave. They shot up and zoomed out the fissure of rock into the wet forest. A sudden strike of lightning smashed upon a tree that feel and almost crushed Ako. Luckily, Ku Fei was fast enough to save the terrified bird from an unpleasant fate.
A huge animal jumped out of the dark den that the fleeing creatures were in. It really was a bear, and it chased the others towards a large slab of rock. The slab of rock blocked the way to a common manmade trail, and thus they were trapped.
Ku Fei stood her ground as the bear closed in upon them, “What do you want-aru!?”
”You came into my living grounds without permission…” the bear started.
”Eh?”
The bear continued, “I’m not giving of any service, including rent, without payment. I am also not letting you leave here without payment.”
”Aru? What kind of payment?”
”There are several forms of payment. Your lives, in particular, are one. I can’t imagine any other type of payment that can be acquired now other than what I have mentioned. Although another way of escaping from here is defeating me, obviously.”
Ku Fei thought of her options, “Well, how about a canary as payment, arune?”
”Hey!” Kazumi shouted.
“Then I guess I’ll just have to beat you,” Ku Fei said, “but I don’t find that particularly easy at all-aru.”
”No, I suppose it isn’t.”
Setsuna added, “That bear is ten times your size, Ku Fei-san. I don’t think you can defeat it.”
”That’s not what’s important now, arune.”
”Okay then!” The canary suddenly spoke, jumping to the middle between Ku Fei and the bear, “now this is a showdown between two scary predators!!!”
Ako asked, “What are you doing, oneechan?”
”I’m announcing, of course! Such a great battle like this needs commentating!”
“I don’t think that’s necessary, Kazumi-san…”
”Ooh! That’s so cool, Kazumi-chan! It’ll be fun to hear your great passion in announcing!” Konoka suddenly said.
Setsuna chuckled, “Um, on second thought, go on ahead.”
”That I will! Now on the left, we have Ku Fei, weighing at 30 pounds—“
”Ehh? I’m not that heavy-aru!”
”weighing at 30 pounds! Now on our right, I don’t know her name…”
”Mana.”
”Mana! At 500 pounds! Wow, that’s a very lopsided match, isn’t it?”
”Will someone shut that canary up?”
Kazumi smiled in the pouring rain and pointed her wing towards the sky, “And BEGIN!”
(30 pounds = 14kg, 500 pounds = 227kg)
